They had asked Fury-Whyte to be that fight. However, Wilder vs Fury was already mandated...Fury just halted the fight to take a break and asked WBC for the fight to take place at a later date. So, if Fury goes ahead it will be sanctioned as mandatory.

Even if Whyte was mandatory, which he is not, Wilder doesn't have to fight mandatory for next 12-18 months because he just did. Also, Fury being Lineal champ will become a unification fight and take precedence over Wilder-Whyte even if that was mandated. Don't see any legal grounds for Hearn to hold his ground.
