Do you see Ruiz lasting long as champ or will he become another Buster Douglas?

Good God. Joyce is the worst HW prospect I've seen in a very long time. Have some respect for the new champ, will ya?!?

Joyce will a problem for any HW without any footwork, which happens to most of the division.

Ruiz is made for Joyce, Ruiz wouldn't be able to hurt him and wouldn't be able to deal with his constant pressure, he'd gas and drown.

That's not how immediate rematch clauses work, the keyword being immediate.

Don't you think it best for AJ to take some time off and try and get better? Could he possibly just be a another in the long line of British hype jobs rather than a premier champion?

He got beat the f-ck up badly. His aura is gone. Right now he is like wlad right after the Lamon Brewster fight. Wlad didn't rematch him for like 6 fights.

AJ needs to learn how to jab and get his stamina/conditioning much better (i will avoid talking about dillion whyte's ped comments).

Maybe get Banks to train him. Comeback with a winnable easy fight like the whyte rematch or like eff pandas said David Price. Get his credibility back.

Right now you can't seriously think AJ would beat RUiz, wilder, Fury or Usyk without being able to jab to keep them off of him.

The slowest hands in the HW division versus possibly the quickest hands in the division. Easy work for The (Buffet) Destroyer.

Nope. It's sink or swim time. He got caught and never recovered. Time to prove it was just a lapse in concentration. I'm not down with picking weak fights.

I see what your saying, but its just not the mentality of a true champion to walk away, rebuild and work your way back up. A true champion has a powerful ego that yearns for immediate redemption. If AJ really did avoid the immediate rematch (he won't), he would lose all credibility among his fans. It would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is psychologically frail.

I get your a Brit and are riding with your countryman, but come on Robbie. He didn't just get caught. He had a terrible gameplan, couldn't jab, couldn't protect himself, and was outboxed badly.

You gotta be a little more honest about what happened Saturday night. I'm fine if you want him to go right back and rematch Ruiz but he needs a lot of work to get his defense better to protect his chin and give himself a chance to win.

I think the rematch is going to be a real dogfight. I think Joshua will keep the fight mostly at distance, Ruiz will have his moments especially late in the fight. Ruiz has an incredible chin so I think the fight goes 12 and that won't work in Joshua's favor.

50/50 the reign ends with the rematch.

He wasn't doing badly until he got caught. Getting inside against someone with fast short hands is what fucked him. He's not ****** enough to do that again, he already has the tools to beat Ruiz.
