I'm gonna wait for the rematch, and see what happens. Lennox Lewis lost two fights that he shouldn't have and redeemed both of them. He was a good champion. I'm just gonna wait. Wilder proved what he was about the other day giving Ortiz a rematch instead of Fury. Cherry picking at its best. He has absolutely no class or respect for the sport. After he beats up Ortiz again. You do make a good point. As a Wilder fan my respect for him (as a fighter) depends on who he fights going forward. He has said he wants the best and now he has to prove it.

I know this thread is about Wilder's quote. And look, I get that they've had this back n forth accusation battle of "who's ducking who", and the fans have taken it to another level and what not - But I don't care if it's Wilder, Fury, Yahoo Sports, Max Kellerman, Charlie Zelenoff, or some fan off the street talking, what we should be talking about is Andy Ruiz Jr. I mean if you're of the mind to think on the most positive thing.

This man's entire life has changed in a moment. He's just captured not only the Heavyweight Championship of the World, but some measure of fame, fortune, and good will. His parents, family, friends, will all be affected. This is an historical upset. All great fighters lose, it's how they come back that counts. Now I'm not saying AJ is great, he might not be, but name 1 fighter that's in the hall of fame with 0 losses on their record?

Wilder's not begging. Obviously you don't get it. The heavyweight championship is more than just about the money. Joshua's loss is the best thing that could have happened as the most meaningful fights can perhaps be made now.

And which meaningful fights would that be?

Do you understand Joshua -Wilder as a superfight is pretty much dead?
