AJ was ranked no.1 simply because he did a little bit more than everyone else (sans Fury, who you can easily argue to be no.1 since 2015, though his retirement saga is the blurred lines). It’s not out of merit, more out of the others doing even less.

This fluke argument, I don’t buy it. If this win was a fluke, then we need to wait until Wilder/Ortiz 2 to see if that win was a fluke. Other than that, Wilder has done nothing, so I can’t personally justify putting him over Whyte in that case.

I have noted your tone, and appreciate having a genuinely reasonable debate instead of throwing the usual NSB insults
I think it should matter avoiding a rematch in a fight that even if you feel Fury won 9 rounds , he still got dropped 2x in the last 4 rounds and by some miracle got up from the KD in the 12th. I think both sides can make legitimate claims they deserved the W or that a Draw was the right result. Fury didn’t take home the strap and had a chance to end all debate about who was / is the better fighter between Wikder /Fury But he choose not to. I think you have to consider that when ranking them but if you don’t to each their own

Agree about the AJ paragraph he deserved the #1 spot because even without facing the divisions biggest threats he has done the most but he was losing traction and his grip was loosening on that spot even before the L.

I’m not saying it’s a fluke maybe a bad style matchup / Maybe AJ Lost Some hunger but To me Ruiz resume even with this win doesn’t warrant him the #2 spot especially if it means leapfrogging a Fighter who has held a strap the longest in the sport and who’s reign has entered All-Time top 10 status. I mean the only
Names in front of Wikder at this point are all legends or Kings of their Era. Having 1 great win doesn’t justify it to me especially when you consider what the rest of his CV looks like at this point

I’m guilty as anyone on here about bringing the ignorance and name calling , Just have a low tolerance for people on here that won’t back up their posts/ Write lies to prove a
Point or seem to be in love with just a fighter and not the sport

I know we’ve debated a couple times throughout the years but I always try to be respectful to you , You’re good poster who seem to be a fan of the sport we just have a difference of opinion on a couple subjects which isn’t really a big deal or a bad thing. So much of the sport is subjective or up for interpretation that there can be many opinions on the same subject and they may all have some degree of truth in them

    Have a good one man

Now Wilder will just be known as the guy who got schooled by Fury and received a gift draw and never made the fight happen with Joshua when people wanted it. He ran back to Showtime to fight a Joshua leftover when he was a free agent.
dude wtfu. Wilder turned down his “biggest payday “ cause it was a flat fee . Tell me another HW champ who was undefeated that accepted a flat fee to unify the division??? Even though you think wilder was schooled by fury that’s not true and even if it was there would be no shame in losing to fury like there is in losing to Ruiz jr. Aj kept his left low and crouched down all night instead of using his height and reach . Classic mistake and one that fury doesn’t do .

      • Sfmh Wilder. Kicking a man while he's down. Not good.

Wilder should've had words of encouragement for Joshua, like Fury did.

          • Damn, Wilder has no business sense. First he rejects the Joshua fight out of greed, because he wanted to know much Joshua is getting and won't settle for less than 50/50. Now he destroys his rival while his rival is down. Yup Mr Wilder you are going to sell plenty of PPV buys with these comments. A smart business man would have said, "AJ was obviously overconfident tonight. I believe AJ to be a formidable champion and he will regroup and come back stronger and more prepared in the rematch. I look forward to fighting the true AJ, which we will see in the rematch."

If Wilder thought he could beat AJ he would have fought him already. What a fraud.

What strings? Wilder had concerns about the venue and judges being picked by Joshua. When he questioned it there was no response. You didn't know those were in the offer, of course. Those offers were designed to be turned down. Why do you think the offers were 100 and 120 mil. You can claim to offer anything if you know that you are not going to have to pay it!

You and your expert hindsight bs. Grow up.
Read my previous quotes d-bag. Joshua: decent power, suspect chin, and no stamina. All on display last night. What "experts" didn't see this coming!
