Joshua looked done, but it wasn’t a good stoppage. He asked him 2x if he was good to go and both times the answer was yes.
Damn Joshua straight up quit

He spat his mouthpiece out, backed away from the ref with his hands by his sides. Then backed away from the ref more when he said he wanted to continue, rested his arms on the ropes and was looking away. He said "yes" but all of his body language said he was done. He didn't put his hands up and step towards the ref to show he wanted to continue. This is what he should have done before waiting for his mouthpiece to be put back in. Instead he kept retreating to the corner, was looking away from the ref and then rested his arms on the ropes. He quit.Comment

That's my point. He could have let him go on and stop it afterwards if he couldn't continue. He was the champion and should have been given the chance.Comment

Rules state that the ref doesn’t stop for a mouth guard until there’s a lull in the action. I’ve seen guys fight for over a minute without a gum shield until the ref stopped it. Holyfield/Cooper being one off the top of my head.Comment
