I can't view that link in my region (Canada)...but looking at this I don't see anything like that. Maybe what you are seeing shows something I missed.

My link shows a side view angle of the ending. Even in this link he's telling AJ to come on and turn around and waving him to come forward as he walks towards AJ then asks him if he's ready to box and waves him forward again. He just stands there. Ref gave him way too much time.

The ref says "are you ready to box?" Joshua nods and says "yes" and a split second later the ref is waiving him off.

I'm kind of being the devil's advocate here. I really enjoyed this fight and couldn't be happier for Ruiz. I've never been an AJ fan and think this is great for the HW division and boxing in general. It's just that a small part of me is going...what if? Would Ruiz have had the stamina for late rounds? We will see what happens in the rematch...but Ruiz made me a fan tonight for sure.

Well I think I'm gonna disagree. I think the Wlad reference is pretty good and quite apt for this fight. No doubt AJ fans will start the "something was up with AJ" threads. The way I read that comment, was that dude was on point with the satire.

Something WAS up with him alright, and that's he was smacked hard in the head, just like Brewster did to Wlad.

First I am not a brit , what is there to despise ? he was SHOCKED , he never thought this could happen and he , as you said "mentally shut down" , If AJ comes back in the rematch and loses again , then yes , he has a mental issue that will not be easily (if at all) resolved.
But I will give him a chance to stomach what has happened to him , let the realisation that is not invincible set in and see if he can regroup and be a better fighter due to this BIG setback , or just be finished at the elite level.

When the ref called it off, he was like "WTF??? Haven't they paid you off? I knew we should have got Terry O'Connor."

In fact, if Terry O'Connor had been there, it would have been AJ by third round TKO.
