Povetkin is considered a better opponent because he's proven his worth in the ring.

    Ortiz has never done that.

People now claiming Luis Ortiz is a better fighter/opponent than Olympic Gold medal winning, former World Heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin. This is getting out of hand.

Yes and No. He was a dud in the 1st fight, couldnt even pass the medical but Wilders technical abilities will allow anybody a chance to lay hands on him as long as your not planning on blocking shots with your face as a form of defense like. Ortiz was in a sorry state before the fight even started yet nearly had Wilder out of there and was up on any honest mans score card.

Hes still a mess but then Wilder is still ****.

Yes, who ever says that is 100% correct. What is it from Ortiz career would you say is evidence that that is not the case?

Because he didn't get a 1st round ko, he struggled? People are so silly Ortiz won every round. Hammer fought to survive.
If anyone struggled it was Wilder vs Ortiz.
How much time will the ref give Wilder to recover this time. In the rematch Ortiz needs not get ko'd or dropped and he has a legit shot lol
Wilder definitely isnt outboxing him or outworking him

I rank pedvtkin higher than Ortiz due a better resume but skill wise id day they are around the same, but to say one sucks and the other is far better is doing a bit too much

but you stated that Ortiz is 50 I was just asking could you prove it, if you cant that's okay its just weird to throw things around as fact based on opinion or emotion

so Ortiz is a bum???? that term is thrown around too loosely. if that's your opinion then so be it. and yes pedvtkin has a better resume but he himself hasn't done much of nothing lately and has struggled with lesser opponents. skill wise id say him and Ortiz are neck n neck and will be a tough decent fight for anyone at HW.

Well no he isnt a bum. But he couldnt even pass the medical the last time he fought Wilder and hes looked anything but average in all his fights since. Ortiz had to go life and death with Hammer last year, Povetkin took pretty much every round off Hammer only months earlier. There is a full level between Ortiz and Povetkin and the Russian looks fresher than Ortiz too.

Dont get me wrong, im not even moaning about the rematch, im looking forward to it. But i do not see Povetkin and Ortiz on a parr. And Ortiz looks about done.
