Haymon did not give Deontay Wilder shit because it wasn't a pay per view event, where the promoter has to assume all of the financial risks involved. In addition, Wilder doesn't work for Al Haymon. Al Haymon works for Deontay Wilder.

If he forwarded Deontay a $10 mil cash advance then he would have had one of his figure head promoters out their promoting the fight, in order to make a profit or by recovering some of that $10mil cost he would have lost or at the very minimum to break even.

The $10 mil bonus came directly from CBS through Stephen Espinoza.

The embodiment of what once made championship heavyweight boxing the most gripping of all U.S. sporting events returned in Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury’s heartfelt, power-punching draw.

I thought you were talking about the Breazeale fight. Most of the crowd for Wilder-Fury were Brits supporting Fury.

LOL no man, I was talking about Wilder/Fury. If I said Breazeale, then that was a simple mistake. Trust me, it is damn near impossible to get live gate numbers for NY fights. I'll ask for them but 99.999% chance my request just goes ignored.

Wow thats much worse than I thought.. Below 1 Million? Even below 800k?

The network needs to draw 1 million viewers for the show to be considered a success; “if it does just 700,000 or 800,000 homes, it’s going to be embarrassing from a business standpoint.”

Terrible gate, terrible paid attendance, terrible vierwership, Wilder needs to fight AJ asap or nobody will watch him anymore.

This may make them rethink their plans to put him in with Ortiz next. It makes no business sense as Ortiz got comprehensively KOd last time and has looked awful since then.

****, DAZN might not even improve their offer after this. What's he gonna do then?

He MUST fight on PPV next if he wants to to get 50/50 next year. That means he must fight a live dog to sell it. Whyte, Fury, AJ, maybe even Kownacki are the only guys. Who the **** is gonna buy a PPV with Ortiz?

I don't think anyone would pay to see Ortiz again, nobody outside of this website hype him up.
