They got the leverage they need. DAZN wants the fight more than ANY other fight and really you can now say Wilder/Joshua is the biggest fight in boxing. THAT is their leverage more than whatever the hell Wilder/Fury did at the gate. Them doing 3.5M means exactly what when Joshua is doing 10M+ at Wembley? This mega showdown goes further than just Wilder's individual value, but instead how big the actual fight is and how much money it can generate if it is on PPV. If it is on DAZN, then the value is that it is the fight they want the most and believe the fight that will generate the most subscribers. We already know what DAZN is willing to pay Wilder, and that offer will likely only increase.
u never answered my question. If you “sell” 15k tickets but you bought half or more of them is the gate number a legit number?

If he forwarded Deontay a $10 mil cash advance then he would have had one of his figure head promoters out their promoting the fight, in order to make a profit or by recovering some of that $10mil cost he would have lost or at the very minimum to break even.

The $10 mil bonus came directly from CBS through lmStephen Espinoza.
      Lmao lmao lmao.

Wilders check comes from Haymon boxing lololol. He made almost 18 mil from the fight. Showtime put up about 10 million. Haymon paid the rest out of his pocket.

You are clueless how it works. Events lose money all the time. Not every fox or espn or DAZN show makes money either.

Sometimes the promoter reaches into their own pocket to make to make a fight happen. In this case it was to stop wilder from going to DAZN.

It’s not the networks responsibility to pay a fighter’s purse. They buy a fight then the promoter and fighter make their deal on the purse. In this case Haymon got showtime to pay more than they’ve probably ever paid s fighter for a non ppv fight at about 10 mil.

We may need to reassess this 50-50 split you Wilder fans think hes worth. Im just not seeing the numbers. The gate and the views being 2 of the key numbers really.

Terrible numbers. Showtime boxing is a dumpster fire.

Lets just wait to see what kind of numbers Joshua's fight does. Oh yea DAZN has no sure fire of telling us what the numbers really are. They will just say there were this many streams at the same time. Then leave everyone to argue whether that means new subscribers or current subscribers whose account was streaming on multiple devices. If the numbers are too low they will not even tell us a number, and people will be waiting on that Glaser guy to come up with a number.

Why do we need to wait on Joshua's numbers?

You can't say whether the fight is 50/50 until Joshua has a fight in the US. We need to see how his numbers translate in the US.

America is a powerhouse in the world of Boxing but its not the center of the Yuleverse. What ever Joshua does in the States is just on top of the record breaking numbers he is doing in the UK. The Pound is real money you know.

I dont know how they work out the DAZN numbers and compare them to Showtime but what we do know is Anthony Joshua is getting paid a hell of alot more to fight in NY than Wilder did to fight in NY, the word seems to be Joshua's tickets are on average 4x the price of Wilder tickets and has already sold more than Wilders fight did with time to go yet.

Really, what more do we need to look at?

Oh so America is the power house is the excuse. Everyone knows the fight makes more in the US. The tickets are going for 4x times the price because Eddie pulled the same scheme that the UK outlawed, fans didn't buy the tickets they are sitting on stubhub. Joshua is getting paid because DAZN needs him to get Wilder.
