the $50m (100% legitimate as long as there are no details, negotiations or meetings) "offer".

In spite of Wilder being offered $120m for Breazeale and AJ

    It's actually laughable.
    $50M 50/50 split is a better deal than $40M per fight ($120M)

He lied about initially wanting to make AJ/wilder. His intention was always to have AJ launch DAZN in a fight that wouldn't be a PPV on US TV.

The flat fee offer to Wilder, while more than Wilder had ever earned, would've cut wilder out of much of the revenue the fight was projected to generate. Hearn knew it wouldn't be agreed to.

Only later after everything cleared de he discuss his plan to launch DAZN with a non US ppv. Did you forget this?

Once a year fighters are lame. Joshua last faught September last year so he won't fight again till March next year. So you might get 2 fights out of him next year

Tbf I didn't like the flat fee either but not interms of the amount but the fact it was a flat fee, at the same time I didn't see Wilder countering this with splits unless it was to demand 50-50 whilst being the most vocal about the other side being cowards etc. I got the impression that Hearn wasn't in a rush becuase AJ was the only path which obviously went to pot when Fury unexpectedly ruined Hearns plans. Hearn always said he was willing to negotiate though and Wilder never took him up on this so I'd argue it was an opening offer to an extent only offered with the intention to be bartered upwards. I get your point though.

Don't know about the launch thing, can you elaborate or got a link?

Almost everything Hearn has did has some deception, Haymon knows what Hearn is willing to offer based on other negotiations, Haymon negotiated for Floyd and his concert promotions.....he KNOWS how much people are paying for entertainment, and boxing is held inside the same venues, and knows those #'s also......he went from 15mil to +50% in america is a POSITIVE....SO HE HAS DONE BETTER THAN WHAT WAS OFFERED yet Brits think otherwise

Not true. Matchroom asked for proof of funds and Wilder couldn't show them. Anyone can say they are going to offer you $50m...

As it worked out Wilder can now keep saying he offered AJ $50m once and avoid the fight. Because dummies and casuals believe it.

Part of me feel sorry for Anthony Joshua. He got scammed not only once but twice by PBC fighters. First by Deontay Wilder and now by Luis Ortiz. Neither guy had any real intentions of challenging him in the ring in the first place.

First, Wilder visited DAZN pretending like he was ready to make a deal to fight Anthony Joshua just to pull out at the last minute after being offered a minimum of a 4 fight $120mil deal.

Then next Luis Ortiz answered the call as if he was interested in the fight as a last minute replacement just for his people to pull out again at the eleventh hour after being sent two offers of $6mil and $7mil respectively.

Wow, this Joshua freeze out is real.

You do realize Haymon fighters turn down career changing money to fight scrubs and the PBC never makes offers to anyone outside of the PBC.
