Full credit to Ruiz, he's got balls.
From his appearance, Ruiz must have a lot of meatballs.

Seriously, though; I wonder how Ruiz can pose even the slightest problem to AJ. If Joshua makes him last more than six rounds, it won't be good for his renown.

      Based on what? His weight?
The guy has never been stopped so I think Joshua’s renown will be fine amongst those who know actually what they’re talking about.

The casuals might get a bit excited, but then what do they know?

It's a good replacement fight and still a more solid opponent than Schwarz and Breazeale.

Quick hands, decent power, never been stopped. Very close fight against Parker.

Ruiz will come to fight and at least try to go down swinging.

I think I like this more than the Hunter option, I'm just waiting for Hunter to fill out into the weight a little bit before taking him more serious, same as Usyk.

        Ortiz obviously didn't want it.

I think Ruiz takes a lot of damage in the first 2-3 rounds. If he has an iron chin and belly (somehow) he might make it interesting once AJ tires. Don't expect him to last 6 though, he'll get tagged on the way in everytime.

The head to head (or head to belly!) will be a laugh. The 'fight' will be even worse.Joshua eats short little fat fighters who are easy to hit and 'come to fight' ...completely pointless matchup .....the hearns are hurting Joshua's boxing career through their own greed and ******ity. He should be king of the world and yet they are churning this rubbish out.....as a PPV....lost for any more words!

No, not his weight. His overall abilities, scarce to say the least. Wins over trialhorses and a loss (though debatable) against the Average Joe (Parker) are not enough for me to call Ruiz a serious opponent for Joshua.

I look at the big picture, not just the last two or three fights, before judging a fighter.

I'm a casual who doesn't know what he's talking about since 1974 or so, BTW.

Couldn't put it better than this. Exactly what I think.
