But Wilder fans will still say AJ ducked the boogeyman Ortiz.

Ortiz needs more time to get clean and make a VADA test.

Yes, that makes sense. Thanks for the info.

            KingKongBoxing (http://www.kingkongboxing.com, https://www.instagram.com/kingkongboxing, https://www.twitter.com/kingkongboxing) is a Jay Jimenez operation.

The promoter has a twitter account that's been inactive for years - https://twitter.com/dadepromotions1.
Dade Promotions seem to have been Ortiz's promoter for almost a decade. Considering what a piss-poor job they have done throughout his career I have to wonder why Ortiz is still with them. They must some have something on him, maybe they have his birth certificate.

In all of MY dealings, I let the fighter see all the emails or listen in on the phone calls, because they would ultimately find out anyways, so why BS about it?
Is there any hard deadlines on when the fighter gets to know the whole offer vs what the offer is that the promoter offers him?

Cuz from my reading of the MAA I don't recall seeing anything like that. So do promoters technically EVER have to show the fighter these details if they are slippery enough with it or do they have to show eventually but its up to interpretation how & when you do disclose that info?

I know I recall reading of Chris Algeri's issues with his promoter & he said he'd learn at the weigh in that for example he was only getting $2M of a $3.8M deal. But idk if thats a hard deadline or just how Chris' promoter happened to do it.

Randomly you should have a I've Promoted Pro Boxing AMA thread here if you don't already got one. I know I've bumped heads with you in the past on some opposing philosophies on the business of boxing but I appreciate your real knowledge, experience & insight into some of the behind the scenes realities of how the sausage is made.

Luis Ortiz fully understands the public outrage over his team not managing to secure an deal as a late replacement to face unbeaten, unified heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua. That's because he and those closest to him are just as frustrated, if not even more so.

So he is grovelling after calling 5 million a low ball offer, amd now wants that pay check, you can't paint a red face on some people.
