Hearn is an amicable guy. He is willing to cooperate with other promoters, whilst not carrying those odd demands haymon occassionaly has on his fighters(dropping belts, avoiding fights, declining big paychecks etc), haynon fighters are also often inactive.

Haymon is a powerhouse, but he's derailed a good few careers. Haney i'm guessing is ambitious, because things are harder outside of haymon although probably more rewarding should you be good enough.

Not at all! The man is doing what's best for him! He's the one who's putting in the work so he deserves the reward! If you really care about following this man, why does it matter that's he's on DAZN? There are many of our fighters here in the U.S. who are not being showcased enough and Tank & Russell Jr to name a few! Be happy for the man! He's co-promoting with Hearn so he will be learning the business side as well! So I don't expect him to be a trail donkey but a master!

I’m convinced that the money up front looks better than the money that could come from a far more broad exposure. Here’s the deal, Haney now has guaranteed to never be seen as a sports star in the USA because the only people who have dazn or will watch him on dazn are the absolute die hards....and lets be honest, many boxing fans don’t even have dazn let alone casual sports fans.
But he is getting g paid and deadzone is literally giving away money in hopes of what could be.
Boxing falls in the USA big time of it ever goes to a strictly app only state in the USA. Maybe that’s the goal

But their goal isn't to hide it. They want EVERYONE to have DAZN. But as a newer entity in the boxing marketplace specifically & to the greater sports marketplace in the US they are still on the uphill journey of reaching that point. I'm sure thats something being discussed in the DAZN offices daily.

People will say, but ESPN is the biggest sports network in America. Yep, that's my whole point. Boxing needs the biggest sports network behind it. Not some fly by night app.
Yes & No. I mean the thing is DAZN represents the future even if DAZN specifically isn't necessarily the future. Streaming IS the future, ESPN+ shows even ESPN believes that too. And they are a competitor or maybe a better way to say it is a aspiring competitor to ESPN's throne as the leader of sports in the US & World at large.

What you are suggesting is competition is bad I feel like. Why can't DAZN attempt to overtake ESPN as the leader of sports (or just boxing for the time being) in the US & World? Cuz they are a company with a tiny market share right now? Why are we so sold on them failing or not being able to change their position?

Eff you're a smart guy. You know they aren't getting NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL. To many real streaming services in America to compete with like Netflix, Amazon, Facebook, and now Disney.
I wouldn't claim to know enough about those sports & their rights to say DAZN could or couldn't get them in the future.

I do know this is a volatile sphere where change, & a lot of it, is taking place currently & will continue to take place. I've said several times that I think the leader of this streaming sports world (& streaming in general) won't even start to get figured out til there is a lot more innovation & customization of this product that is going to open up a whole new world of viewing sports (& movies, games & other sh^t). And why can't DAZN be the one who does that?

You really think people are going to pay $20 to only watch boxing? They'll pay it to watch Canelo because it's cheaper than his PPV fights. People are complaining not only about Netflix prices going up they're complaining about the overall a la carte pricing of apps, music & video. Nobody but hardcore boxing fans are paying $20 a month just for boxing.
This is a more legit issue in front of DAZN now & I've discussed this before myself. Doubling the price (by the month anyway, ik you can still get it for like $100/yr) within the first year & before DAZN even has any legit mainstream sports leads me down this rabbit hole of thinking about how DAZN looks & prices itself when/if they do land the NBA or some other major sport a year or two from now.

Thats a concern for the future viability of DAZN & as DAZN as a product worthy of your dollar as a boxing fan & a sports fan. But I'm willing to see how that all shakes out a lil bit & give DAZN a chance to play around with things even if I'm complaining now & see potential massive issues in the future.

good stuff. There is no mainstream boxing market, yet, but maybe now with boxing being back on network TV. UFC is arguably more mainstream than boxing and you think millions of people would pay $20 for only MMA fights? (They would still keep PPV fights PPV because $$$$). Only way DAZN gets big is if they get other sports, which will be hard to do. As a prospect, I think its a bad decision long term to sign with DAZN when you could possibly fight on Fox and ESPN.
