they wont let Loma to unify this division, will be the same old story as it was at 126 and 130, i think american public will push him saying if you're p4p num 1 you should go and try to unify 140 or maybe 147, why not

Jacobs was already with Eddie so he don't count. I could see people saying Andrade, but Andrade is too kooky & inconsistent for me. Granted Devin is unproven largely, but for where he's at & where he could go he's a really nice pickup. OJ3 might be the best potential overall, but he's done nothing yet obviously so he's a seed still trying to turn into something more than he's something already like Devin.

Haney about to get paid, PBC boys now hate him. They are such a joke, "sign with the man I want you too or I start hating". Sorry if he don't want to be kept from great competition and great money at the same time. Smart kid. No uncle Haymon's plantation for him.

Yes & No. I mean the thing is DAZN represents the future even if DAZN specifically isn't necessarily the future. Streaming IS the future, ESPN+ shows even ESPN believes that too. And they are a competitor or maybe a better way to say it is a aspiring competitor to ESPN's throne as the leader of sports in the US & World at large.
What you are suggesting is competition is bad I feel like. Why can't DAZN attempt to overtake ESPN as the leader of sports (or just boxing for the time being) in the US & World? Cuz they are a company with a tiny market share right now? Why are we so sold on them failing or not being able to change their position?
I wouldn't claim to know enough about those sports & their rights to say DAZN could or couldn't get them in the future.
I do know this is a volatile sphere where change, & a lot of it, is taking place currently & will continue to take place. I've said several times that I think the leader of this streaming sports world (& streaming in general) won't even start to get figured out til there is a lot more innovation & customization of this product that is going to open up a whole new world of viewing sports (& movies, games & other sh^t). And why can't DAZN be the one who does that?
This is a more legit issue in front of DAZN now & I've discussed this before myself. Doubling the price (by the month anyway, ik you can still get it for like $100/yr) within the first year & before DAZN even has any legit mainstream sports leads me down this rabbit hole of thinking about how DAZN looks & prices itself when/if they do land the NBA or some other major sport a year or two from now.
Thats a concern for the future viability of DAZN & as DAZN as a product worthy of your dollar as a boxing fan & a sports fan. But I'm willing to see how that all shakes out a lil bit & give DAZN a chance to play around with things even if I'm complaining now & see potential massive issues in the future.

Who was the last major prospect signed by PBC anyways? Top Rank and Matchroom are signing guys left and right but I haven't heard much about the guys PBC is signing. PBC might not have even been a consideration for Haney. Acquiring new talent doesn't seem to be a priority for them. They probably need the money so they can overpay guys like Ortiz so he won't fight Joshua and give Deontay a pay raise after turning down major offers.

How many people had HBO back in the 70's, 80's & 90's when HBO was investing in boxing in a bigger & bigger way? Idk, but not many at the beginning thats for sure. And I know they weren't even available on all cable networks for about a decade into their existence.
Was HBO ultimately bad for boxing, US or overall? I don't think so.
They helped create some of the biggest names in boxing history with Oscar, Floyd, Manny & Tyson.
Will DAZN accomplish as much for boxing, US or overall, as HBO did? Idk. I'd probably bet against it right now as we stand, but is it possible they could? Sure it is.
It got to the point that, if you were any kind of boxing, you needed to have HBO.
DAZN is nowhere near that, and will likely never be that due to Al Haymon having the deepest talent pool, 40 some-odd fight dates and 25 prime ones, $120m+ per year, the support to run at least 4 PPV events a year, and the actual contact reach to the masses through Showtime/CBS and Fox Sports (FOX/ FS1).
DAZN simply isn't a must-own proposition, and this doesn't change that.

Cong**** to Haney! If you are a true fan of the sweet science then you would want DAZN to succeed. I am a lifelong boxing fan from good old New York. My first favorite fighter was " Smokin Joe Frazier". I go back awhile. The future is streaming! Here's hoping ESPN+ and DAZN do well! This is the tip of the iceberg!
