My recollection is him saying that with Miller's purse set aside, there is still that pool of money available. He was careful not to say that the replacement gets Miller's fee. That would be ******. For a guy who talks as much as Eddie, he's pretty good at choosing his words carefully. No contract was sent, although multiple phone calls were made according to Ortiz people. Hearn did in fact mention the stand in guy getting Miller's purse, however there was layers to Miller's purse that he didn't control. Recall, DAZN was throwing extra money at Miller per Miller.
It's not like Eddie to be this quiet when someone turns him down and goes public. I'll wait on his response.
What that statement does do is set an upper limit. Which it sounds like Ortiz has tried to exceed by millions.
I don't think you can dispute whether an offer was made. Ortiz team are talking about a lowball offer. That's at least an offer and isn't up for debate.
Whether it's really lowball or not is subjective. At $5M I'd argue it's nowhere near "lowball".Comment

We both know Fury was robbed, lets not kid ourselves. Also they actually offered Ortiz much more than he made for Wilder since Miller was juiced to the gills. Who is there to get on short notice? He isn't the one who turned down 100 mil but okay, he's the coward. Sit down boy, you look like a fool.Comment

Wrong. Eddie couldn't even make a fight against ***** whyte, who is one of his own fighters. What does that tell ya?Comment

100% this.
Who should fight fans want to win?
Hearn for the sake.of boxing, but f**k me it's turned into a war of fans supporting promotional companies.
Please, knock.me into a coma till it is sorted out - it's insanity the way these dudes support ducking.Comment

Offered Ortiz more he made for Wilder, he turned it down, Offered Wilder Career money, he turned it down. Notice the trend here. These boys like to bark but when it comes to handle business they out price themselves. Whyte was already handled, wanted to get greedy got passed over. Not AJ's fault Miller went crazy with the juice.Comment

Eddie has 1 job, and 1 job only. To make fights for AJ, and he consistently fails even when both fighters are aligned with him.
Something is very wrong with Eddie's approach. Just ask ***** whyte.Comment

How you refer to Whyte says it all, he was asking for more than he was worth considering he was KO'd last time they fought. Why give him even more money when there were other options out there? No speculation, Wilder indeed turned down career money. This is well known. Ortiz made less fighting Wilder, turned it down. Eddie can only do so much but at least he isn't robbing his fighters, Wilder makes pennies compared to AJ.Comment

I would not have called it low ball. As far as the "offer", I'm only speaking to select folks who said the $50M offer to Joshua wasn't real because no contract was sent.My recollection is him saying that with Miller's purse set aside, there is still that pool of money available. He was careful not to say that the replacement gets Miller's fee. That would be ******. For a guy who talks as much as Eddie, he's pretty good at choosing his words carefully.
