Haymon didn't give him the permission, and now they have to justify it somehow.
I've never seen anyone being so "concerned" about what's good and not for the opponent (AJ).
If anything, exactly the problems AJ might face changing to southpaw on such short notice should be the reason for taking that fight.

It’s not like Joshua turned down Ortiz is it

There’s no convincing needed . Ortiz said he would step in for miller then gets offered the fight ( career high payday ) and has a brown trouser moment

      He’s one of three things 1- s**t house 2-roided beyond cycling 3- haymons b**ch

How much did Hearn offer? And was it even a real offer since he didn't send a contract? According to the Hearniacs, if you don't send a contract, you're not serious about fighting.

There were a few offers sent apparently

I’m sure I heard Hearn said the stand in guy will be getting millers purse

Will be a few million for sure not 500k

Hearn knows the minute AJ gets beat, he'll be back in Manchester promoting wrestling. AJ is his only meal ticket, thats why Hearn is always begging for options. He has AJ and the Smith brothers. I don't think the Smith brothers can provide for Hearns lifestyle.

blah blah.. the excuse from ortiz camp was about money. not about having enough time. and he put a foot in his mouth with recent comments about facing AJ for any amount. he looks bad here. I dont see this opportunity presenting itself ever again. after AJ crushes Hunter he'll go straight to Whyte, Usyk, Fury or Wilder.

Why would Pulev fight anybody live when he can wait to fight AJ for 35% (10-15M$?). Or if AJ vacated, he gets to fight Kayayel (boxrec 21) for the IBF and sells the belt to either Wilder, Fury or Whyte.

No contract was sent, although multiple phone calls were made according to Ortiz people. Hearn did in fact mention the stand in guy getting Miller's purse, however there was layers to Miller's purse that he didn't control. Recall, DAZN was throwing extra money at Miller per Miller.

It's not like Eddie to be this quiet when someone turns him down and goes public. I'll wait on his response.

Then why are Ortizs people saying that it's a lowball offer? And what was Ortiz offered? How much was Joshua getting?
