IMO it looks like it was less about money and more about only having time for an abbreviated camp going into the toughest fight of his career. Fans can scream 'duck' all they want.... but it won't make a difference. If any of them were in the same position they'd probably decide the same way. But I do hope Joshua/Ortiz DOES get made soon. We fans need that fight before Ortiz retires.

I don't know...as a prospect, Ortiz should get the fight whatever the purse...he could have serious advantages (eg winning the fight) and little to no disadvantages (even losing by the currently undisputed champ).

Real reasons are:

1. He's juicing and knows he will have to pass VADA so he cannot say yes.

OR

2. Haymon is blocking it as they are moving heaven and earth to stymie DAZN / Hearn's growing influence in the USA.
