How is that possible? How could Hearn have been sending out offers that early? there's six weeks until the fight, and no one trains like that on the last week! He didn't find out until this week!

I do want the best to fight the best! Just make a deal! That means Hearn, Arum, and Haymon have to talk! Everyone is playing this "I don't know who to call," "I don't know if Al Haymon exists?" Al Haymon is now getting blamed for a failed MatchRoom show! If Joshua wants Ortiz, call Haymon, and do it properly! Don't get mad when Ortiz or Kownacki won't take a fight as a late replacement! Offer your own a late replacement! Offer Whyte, Hunter, or Hrgovic a late replacement!

The news broke 6 weeks and 3 days before the fight date. Ortiz had already been contacted and offered the fight by then because Lance Pugmire, who broke the news, also reported that he had spoken to Ortiz personally about it and Ortiz had told him he could be ready in time.


Fighters most definitely do train in the last week prior to a fight. Stop making ****** excuses!

If Haymon offered Dillian Whyte a shot at Wilder, in London, for a career high purse, and Dillion turned it down because he wanted to be loyal to Eddie Hearn, would PBC fanboys be applauding him and slagging off Haymon for not offering the fight to another PBC guy?

Derevyanchenko is not signed with Al Haymon.

When did that stop? I've only seen Dervy on PBC cards! Dervy vs. Culcay was a PBC event.

He has a promotional contract with Lou Dibella. Most Haymon fighters don't have a promoter like he does. That's why he was able to fight Jacobs on HBO.

A few days ago, BoxingScene.com reported that Ukrainian middleweight prospect Sergey Derevyanchenko (2-0, 1KO) signed an agreement with influental adviser/manager Al Haymon. The Ukrainian fighter is promoted by Lou DiBella, who is close friends with Haymon. Derevyanchenko competed in the 2008 Olympic games, won a bronze medal at middleweight at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships, and went 22-1 in four World Series of Boxing seasons.

Haymon works with over 130 fighters - including Floyd Mayweather Jr., Amir Khan, Leo Santa Cruz, Deontay Wilder, Omar Figueroa, Robert Guerrero, Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana, Erislandy Lara, Errol Spence, Peter Quillin, Lucas Matthysse, Adonis Stevenson and others.

With Haymon at his side, Derevyanchenko sees big things in the future.

"When I turned professional, I wasn't thinking about working with Al Haymon. I was guided to a contract with my promoters, which suits me. When there was a proposal to sign a managerial agreement with Al Haymon, I agreed. My promoters work closely with Haymon and I am positive that for me this means new horizons are going to open up for my career," Derevyanchenko said.
