Fury is known as the man who dethroned Wlaimir Klitschko. Being associated with a nobody wouldn't have helped one bit. It was the other way round. It being Wilder's very first PPV fight is more proof of this. As is Fury having more fans in the build up and in the arena at the time. All Wilder is known for at this time is losing to a 50% version of Fury who was weakened and needed to get a robbery draw.
