Any fighter who is exciting and demonstrates superior talent. Mike
Tyson, Pacquiao, De La Hoya and Floyd never needed the help of outside networks to shine a light on them and get the word out. Their fights or charisma helped to sell themselves. He would not have been on CBS during a basketball game if anyone knew who he was. He needs all the help he can get.

Deontay Wilder has the backing of both CBS and Fox. Two of the four major television networks in the U.S. Which is huge since they both reach over 90 percent of all American households for free.

Their talent sold them not network execs. Wilder is 40 fights into his career in the glamour division. If it weren’t for Fury his highest pay day was $2M. This far into his career he should be a major PPV attraction. AJ, Fury, Tyson, were all way more popular in just half as many fights. Keep trying to sell this guy though.

Yes we get it, Wilders profile has risen, well done Deontay it is about time, never made sense to us neutral fans that Wilder and unbeaten heavyweight world champion with insanse KO power can remain so under the radar or why such an experienced management team around him why they would choose to keep him under the radar even when he has a record of over 30 wins all by ko.

But we must bow to the fact he is an established star now, congratulations to the man. Now he can get to doing what Boxing superstars do and make a boat load of money of the Breazeale PPV. I presume he will be PPV, i mean i saw the video posted by Cobra there. Its proof, undeniable proof Wilder is now a superstar. Thats 10,s of millions of people listen to him babbling his ***ing bollocks making no sense. And with that proof provided surely hes selling a million PPV's for this Breazeale fight. JOSHUA DID.

It's on CBS so he probably got Haymon to hook him up. I doubt they personally reached out to him for his opinion. Haymon probably slipped in a couple checks to help promote their guy.

I didn't buy that ESPN most popular or w/e boxer in the world sh^t, but no question Wilder's profile is being enhanced more & more since the Ortiz fight & the Fury fight more recently.

And the bottom line is Wilder & Joshua are the two guys at HW we all most wanna see fight & its the fight most casuals will wanna see if Joshua & Wilder both increase their profiles as they have both been doing in the US & UK.

Say what you want about it negatively or jokingly.

But, that is a boxer getting all kinds of face time during the second biggest night in college basketball.

That's a boxer being showcased on one of the most viewed sporting events on the planet.

There is no way to spin it as anything but positive for him and for our sport.

If AJ has any sense, he'll get his butt in the building Monday night and hope they stick a microphone in front of his face...
