Man, this amount of Bull**** is rarely seen hahaha. I've actually never seen someone spin it this far though. "If you only knew how much Wilder made" and "we won't release the amount" hahahaha. That's the dumbest **** I've read on here. And Wilder's ******ed fans are actually eating it up?????? Man, ya'll are a special kind of ******Comment

Boxing writers and leaked numbers? I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about finance, Forbes magazine and the Wall Street Journal. There is always a bottom line and someone has access to it. In fact, someone printed it out on an accounting form.
Finally, and I have to go for the day, but why wouldn't Showtime release the numbers to Forbes and the WSJ for publicity? You know what? They did.
Those other guys are telling you that those numbers that the forbes author got from "media reports" are US ppv numbers and don't reflect revenue garnered from broadcast rights purchased by other international networks.Comment

Not the same thing at all.
One thing is the head of a network not announcing PUBLICLY the terms of a fighter's deal.
The other is during PRIVATE FACE TO FACE NEGOTIATIONS, not knowing what the total pot of money is and not knowing what the other fighter is getting paid.
Two very different things.
Re the bolded: Wilder's team excluded Eddie Hearn from that meeting. Hearn is AJ's promoter and representative at DAZN. If Wilder wanted to discuss AJ's money as well as his own, he shouldn't have excluded Hearn from the meeting.
This was a meeting to discuss a financial deal between Wilder and DAZN, by-passing Hearn. AJ's money shouldn't even have been brought up.Last edited by kafkod; 03-27-2019, 12:34 PM.Comment

NO, it was world wide. They barley broke 200 K in the U.S.

Most weirdos on this site are glad this article came about so they can distract away from their favorite fighter ducking Wilder.
Go on peasants, continue to argue about more **** that shouldn't matter to the fans: a fighters money.Comment

Disclose the purse then Stephen.
You’re basically in the PR business, so if you can dispel all this criticism by simply disclosing the purse, simply disclose the purse.
You can’t expect people to be dumb enough to buy thisComment

Actually, the author did not state that the numbers were derived from Showtime. As a matter of fact here is the quote "According to various media reports, the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury showdown compelled between 300,000-325,000 people to buy the fight on PPV".
