Comments Thread For: Arum: Joshua Should Sign With Top Rank, Nobody Has DAZN!

Bob Arum is just a old bitter man who's having a "I'm about to Die" crisis. He's spent the last few weeks trashing EVERYONE. Trashing Showtime saying they going out of business, he trashed FOX and their PPV with Spence and Garcia, he trashing DAZN. He even shyt on GGG after he spent MONTHS trying to sign him. This is about him feeling threatened because all these guys are making more money then his guys he has and he knows Crawford/Khan should never be on PPV and is going to bomb. Even Fat Boy Dan a huge Top Rank azzz licker called him out for tossing Spence's name around to promote Crawford/Khan when he has no intentions of making that fight or working with Haymon. It was a pathetic trick from the Arum playbook. Trash fight not drawing buzz so name drop another fighter and pretend that fight will happen after your trash fight to try and fool fans into buying.
1. Haymon isn't on Twitter; 2. Fights aren't made on social media, they're made behind closed doors in private if sides actually want to make them; 3. Top Rank has no top opponents for Crawford to fight, hence the apparent desperation; 4. Bob knows 1, 2 & 3. https://t.co/FQqp8Mn1h3

I mean Arum is right that Joshua could potentially make more money on PPV in America but why take that risk when DAZN is handing out these kind of crazy guarantees? I think Joshua is making the right decision but I guess we'll see with time how it works out.Comment

In 10 years AJ will be out of the sport.
He is spending his prime years building someone else's business from scratch.
Mayweather didn't build anything for anyone other than himself. Every bit of his value went to building his own business. AJ should do the same and stop building Matchroom and DAZN for someone else. Plantation mentality.Comment

LOL I’ve noticed something....anytime there is a post about how crappy dazn is or how someone punks dazn and claims they have no subscribers, the comments go north of 100....the people not living in the USA being the most staunch defenders of dazn....it’s a very odd obsession by uk fans who seem to feel justified in insisting Americans buy into the app. Truly odd.Comment

Joshua could care less, he only came to America due to peer pressure, and as far as Posh is concerned, he was already satisfied gettin' that above average island DAZN money from his zombie following at home. His UK base is all he wants & needs to keep his pockets fat(!), and its where he plans on building his bum exibition museum.... Arum is right 'now' about DAZN but the muscle kid could care less....
Hearn is still on his desperate "get every boxer available" to sign on tour, but I don't see DAZN getting more subscribers because of a few more mandatories being available for Canelo to bust up lol ..while again picking on an old GGG....We shall see....Interesting ...ESPN on the other hand has a history thats well established, even more so on that nostalgic level like HBO (now over) and Showtime. Can a power hungry UK primarily based promoter come to America and reach that (Friday Night Fights level at least) level on an app?Comment

I love how there was a good thing coming together at heavyweight for the first time in god only knows how long and promoters jumped in and ruined it all.
Actually no, wait, what's the opposite of "love?" Oh yeah, hate. That's right, I hate it so damn much. I'm losing my patience with this sport at the minute.Comment

I don't think AJ really cares to be honest. He's making more money than any other HW, he has the majority of the belts. And so what if every opponent he faces isn't a big name opponent he's still getting paid and still fighting in front of large crowds.Comment
