    How? lol.

The biggest payday on a fight in the history of the UK was the $42m said to have been split between Joshua-Klitschko (1.6m buys on Sky Box Office, $10m at the gate at Wembley, $4m for the US TV, $5m for the German TV, etc).

For Joshua to get $30m, assuming Fury agrees to 50/50, you'd need to draw 50% better than Joshua-Klitschko did, lol; 3m homes on Sky Box Office, $20m at the live gate, $10m for the US rights at 3pm, etc.

    Good luck with that

Mikey and Spence made about 7-8 mil each.
Even with them taking 50% there is still over 10 million per fighter before the gate. 7.5 a piece from ppv plus 3mil guarantee. Then you have the gate etc. Still more than what dazn offered, plus the fight was viewed by millions more than what dazn could offer and publicity from FOX afterward. Again dazn offers nothing for an actual star

your math is wrong. There is only 15mil from the ppv to split ifnit did 400k buys and it did less than that. There is more like 13.5 mil to split and you forget that Pbc gets a cut of that and the undercard has to be paid plus other expenses

Now we changing the ppv totals to help your argument? Okay
6.75Mil +3mil guarantee+ a cut from 8 mil at the gate is more than the 8mil generated -expenses from Hearn.

Undercard has to be paid from a dazn fight too along with paying all expenses associated with the event and Matchroom being the promoter, gets all the ticket revenue. And before you say that expenses wouldn't come out of the fighters purse's AJ has already stated that all of that comes out of his purse.

Plus with the terrible promotion from Hearn we've seen the fight would've been in Delaware or some **** with way fewer ticket sales and 20K viewers at home.

Long story long, dazn has nothing to offer an established star. Up and comers who need steady improvement, B-side fighters and guys who wouldn't get a shot anywhere else need the security of a pay check. But those who can be big have no need to be employees. Why give up self-determination

            Very weird indeed

Only sissies do the name-calling. Compubox numbers had it at 13 more punches for the fight (I do think they can score). Again, in Amateurs a few more punches will win it even if they do nothing. Thankfully in the pros DAMAGE COUNTS and LACK OF DAMAGE means something too.

When you're done counting meaningless rounds help Tyson with those knots on his head and dusting off his back would ya?

Matchroom has worked out well for Whyte and Joshua. Not so much for Ortiz. But Matchroom isn't all bad. They've been arrogant and tone deaf concerning Joshua and respect to opponents.

To give contrast: Top Rank Arum and Ali never made it hard for ANY top level fighters to fight Ali, and they gave fair purses and didn't play purse politics (in public) with anyone. Behind closed doors, probably did, but they worked it out closed doors, came out with contracts, and all fighters proceeded with their dignity intact (and maybe a score to settle). With AJ, Matchroom (as led by ehearn) wants to try to humiliate the best 'publicly', as some sort of advantage gained going into a fight. It's bad policy and a very ugly look. Over time it makes signing fights much more difficult.

Again do you know how to score a fight it’s not who lands the most punches. That is amateur boxing crap.Pro fight are scored round by round you get credit for ring generalship effective aggression who scored the most effective punches there’s a lot more to it than who landed more.

A lot of that is just the era we're in. This is the social media era - and Hearn plays the role of pantomime villain. And like him or loathe him - people watch!

I don't know that he really stops the fights being made. Wilder might not want to talk to him (though I'm not 100% convinced about that either) but I'm sure he appreciates him building the fight.

He's a promoter. No such thing as bad publicity.
