Ah yes, finally came out of hiding after your boy got exposed by Fury? People bought for Fury which is exactly why his next fight is non ppv when vs Fury it would be but he tucked tail from the real A-side. He came here and made more fans in one night than Wilder has his entire career. Do yourself a favor and hide again, you know Fury exposed that windmill on toothpicks. In America, promoters have figured out that in most instances, you make more money in an arena with high prices instead of trying to fill a stadium. The major markets like Vegas and New York, there'd be no reason to run a stadium no matter how big of a star you are. Did Mayweather pack stadiums? No. Because there's more money to be made NOT packing stadiums.
As for Wilder being "barely known," he's had multiple fights on FOX & NBC that did millions of viewers, he's Showtime's biggest ratings draw, he has 1.7 million instagram followers, stars on a popular reality show, is one of Barclays' biggest attractions, did over 325,000 buys for his first ever PPV, as the A-side, with an opponent that had never done PPV either.
So if by your definition Wilder is "barely known," what active US fighters are "known" in your opinion?Comment

In regards to the ticket prices it depends where in the U.K. you are buying a ticket. I live in London and you can not buy a premiership ticket to a game for under $50( I’ve converted the currency for you) Not to mention the revenue of NFL is based on 32 teams whilst in the premiership there is only 19 teams.I don't know what the biggest market is in the US but New York has to be one of the top if not the top. They have 2 teams in all the major sports. The 2 NBA teams already mentioned, 2 NFL teams (Giants/Jets), 2 Major League Baseball teams (Yankees/Mets), 2 NHL teams (Rangers/Islanders) and a soccer team but I doubt that adds much
- Sprinkle in some big boxing events and yea they probably have an argument.
Ticket prices here are a lot more than in the UK, so you can't just compare numbers because $$$ is what matters.
Edit: This is by country but it shows you how dominant the US is in this area while UK people sell $20 tickets and brag about sellouts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ues_by_revenue
You'd literally have to combine the top 4 soccer/football leagues just to be over the NFL in revenue. Combine our other major sports and it's not even a contest.
What I will say is that the prices to tennis events such as Wimbledon is so sought after that I tend to book a holiday and go and watch the us open in Queens where tickets are cheap compared to WimbledonComment

Oh let’s hear the shows Wilder has been on just to give me a taste of how they treat their sports royalty because commercial partners Wilder has 0 and Joshua has 13. Funnily enough 4 of his commercial Sponsors are headquartered in the United States . Weird thatComment

Yormark is just being a good spokesperson for Barclays. Wilder is sure as hell not biggest boxer in US (Canelo wipes the floor w him), and Joshua is not an 'unknown'. If you're looking at US only, they're pretty close. That doesn't prevent AJ-Miller tickets to be more expensive and expect to sell better.Comment

errol Spence and Mikey sold more ppvs than wilder. Canelo is 100x a bigger name than Wilder in the us. Hell manny Pacquiao is still a “bigger boxer”. What the hell is yormark smokingComment

It's hilarious the way people who want to talk up the US proudly state how high the ticket prices are and sneer at the affordable prices and consequently huge audiences in the UK.
You think high ticket prices that are unaffordable to many fans are a good thing? You like the fact it prices people out and makes it hard to grow the sport? Really?Comment
