Hearn might be clueless but anyone thinking that Fury/Wilder 2 needs to sit on a shelf for a year should probably just be quiet on the subject.

Many successful old people will tell you the same thing, that the hustle never stops.
When you are in your death bed, you can reflect on all the accomplishments and pat yourself on the back.
Until then, the hustle does not stop dude. If you are capable of earning and being productive, why stop? Activity is good for our health.
I bet Arum is old and healthy because he stays active and works his brain.Comment

Arum is not wrong though when it comes to Hearns Matchroom USA cards, they have been garbage. Nobody cares for them and have been pretty much garbage. Canelo/Jacobs is pretty much a GB event that will be put on by them. We will see how his next events in the US play out. He's already over pricing tickets for AJ/Miller.Comment

A lot of it has to do with the lack of big names he has in his stable. GGG and Canelo are being their own deal and they won't be Hearn's shows. I mean he can be involved in them but those aren't the ones that get are the true Matchroom USA shows. But one thing I love is the type of top prospects he's signing. If he can get Haney and Ennis then that will be a huge coup for Hearn. Now, Ennis is fighting next on SHO and I can't see Haney linking a deal with anyone long-term, but those should be his targets.Arum is not wrong though when it comes to Hearns Matchroom USA cards, they have been garbage. Hearn is putting on a great show for the fans with Estrasa vs SSR II though. Not big commercially but a card that satisfies the paying consumer.
Will be interesting to see what he does with Farmer next. Eventually he will need a big name opponent or that's kind of a waste signing. If I had to guess, Farmer will have to leave to get the Davis fight. Bivol will lack opponents in the near future unless he drops to 168 and gets Smith. Not sure what the play is with Brook, I guess possibly Munguia vs Vargas winner?
2019 will be interesting to say the least.Comment

Bobs making the same point Shelley has been trying to make. Why would you put a big fight on DAZN when nobody in the US is downloading the app?Comment

Isn't that the point of DAZN paying crazy money to Wilder to increase their subscribers? Make no mistake, he got offered a TREMENDOUS deal and he's taking a HUGE risk here. Can it end up working out for him? Sure, because Wilder didn't sign a long term deal so he can go back to DAZN and get even a better deal. Or SHO can put a crazy guarantee for both fighters and put it on PPV. But the thing is Wilder was guaranteed 20M even after the Joshua fights and for the Breazeale fight. Maybe what Wilder's team is doing is trying to bid DAZN and ESPN against each other for Wilder's services and they feel they can get an improved deal.
Another interesting thing to track in 2019.Comment
