These promoters now have platforms. Moreover, they have many dates and time slots to fill.

Therefore, they need to sign enough fighters in order to fill them. So as a result, all of the major platforms are feeling the pressure and squeeze, in order to acquire new talent; Both CBS/Fox, ESPN and DAZN.

They need fighters in order to fulfill their obligations to their networks and online streaming services and they are willing to pay more than a shitload worth of money in order to do so because they have very large budgets.

No, Showtime isn't sponsoring this event but Al Haymon and his investors are. Showtime could not afford an eight figure budget on its Showtime Championship Boxing series. That's why he is fighting on Pay Per View.

I am so happy and proud for Deontay Wilder right now. All of his haters and naysayers were saying that ever since the Tyson Fury fight fell through that he was going back to Alabama to start making only $1.5 mil per fight again. Boy, did he prove those no good bastards wrong?

Ah!-ha! The jokes are on you Jack. When everyone counted this kid out he did it again. He landed one those miracle, gamechanging straight right hands on his haters and they are hurting really bad right now which couldn't have felt even better

12.5 offer had to be a troll job right ,that's what Hearns initial offer to Wilder was . Ha
Now does this news make you very happy for Deontay Wilder? He is finally getting paid like Tyson Fury or like any other World heavyweight champion is supposed to get paid.

They don't because they don't spend any money producing it or assuming any of the risks on these PPV shows. They are solely distributors and receive only the rebroadcasting rights a week later on their Showtime Championship Boxing series.

What a very good question because he can't watch it on DAZN like us American fans around 11:30-12:00 AM EST?

You can't argue with these fools. They don't seem to understand or know the sport of boxing very well.

Showtime is neither producing or assuming any of the risks of this fight. They are only distributing it through their network. Therefore, they don't make or lose any money on this fight since they are not the ones who are sponsoring it.

They are only getting the rights in order to the rebroadcast the fight on its Showtime network for its World Championship boxing Series a week later by paying the licensing fees.

These guy are a bunch of morons who are saying this Pay Per View fight is coming out of the Showtime budget.
