realistically wilders market value is prob around 5 mil a fight now.....

so yeah that's a bit over his value imo....but if Espinoza feels it keeps him happy and gives them a shot at doing a deal with AJ then it will probably be worth it......

but it seems tough...because it looks like DAZN doesn't wanna fight wilder any time real soon unless they can lock wilder in so they have 0 risk

5 sounds about right. If they give him 10, they're banking on the PPV doing half decent and them being in on that Joshua fight to recoup some money.

Wilder should go where the big money leads him. His career could be over in 2 years, he should maximize his value IMO. I think he knocks Joshua out and if he has to go to the UK and do it, then so be it. The rematch would be here and he gets another huge payday. If they want a 3 fight deal, he should do it. Staying at showtime/fox gets him D.B., maybe Ortiz again, and Kownacki most likely.

Going to Dazn may get him D.B., Whyte and Joshua maybe twice. He's gonna make alot more going with DAZN.

if his market value is 5, which we agree on, then of course DAZN is banking on the same exact thing offering him 15....but wilder doesn't have to sign control of himself over them and can still pursue a fury fight if DAZN gets fresh over the terms of the AJ fight

either way dazn or showtime will be overpaying wilder next.....its just which one does wilder feel more comfy with...as ive said..more money up front isn't always the best answer especially when you have to sign yourself over.....

if they were to make a fight without wilder going to DAZN than they can easily make a rematch too without wilder signing with them

whytes next fight is getting picked up by espn so I don't think hes stuck anywhere either really....its just I don't see showtime having huge interest in him when they have other guys wilder can fight and pay less money to....

Only thing about DAZN paying him 15 is they know they can make that Joshua fight and reap the rewards that come with it. Showtime would just be ******** on being involved in the future. Either way Al gets his cut and we win if he goes to DAZN by not having to pay $80 to watch a possible Joshua fight later this year.

If it were me, I'd go and chase the money but who knows what his priorities are.

oh I agree...its a gamble on showtimes part.....but in reality if wilder keeps winning that fight is a given...theres no way that AJ can prolong it forever....

sure wilder could end up fighting fury again first and losing...that's a gamble/risk

but if wilder keeps winning AJ will have to fight him at some point....and it will probably be in the US too instead of him def having to go to UK first

I think wilder just has to stay the course and see past hearn and his tactics....he has to believe in the people that have had his best interests and see it through....I have a hunch that's what hes going to end up doing but I may be wrong

if they decide going to DAZN is best im all for it...I have no real problems with it...

also to add to my last post

              put it this way...

hearn is now offering wilder the same money to fight brezeale that he offered him to fight AJ himself last year!

hearn is all about making a good offer when his network will carry 0 risk....but when he was supposed to be negotiating a regular deal that would carry risk he was jerking wilder around and making a jerk of out wilder and his people

does wilder really wanna get in bed with someone like that? when the other guys have had his best interests in mind ..is it really worth a potential extra 5 mil or so?

Fury is on the outside looking in now. He's the one who really fked up signing with ESPN and TR when no heavyweights are over there.

I'm just sick of boxing expecting us to pay $80 for any half decent fight they put together. Crawford-Khan is a joke and if Wilder -Brezeale ends up on PPV, it's a travesty because nobody is buying it and takes momentum away from Wilder coming off a Great fight.

I'm sure he will make the choice he feels is best for his future but I'm hoping he goes over there and we get the Joshua fight later this year and it only costs us $10 which is the best part as far as I'm concerned

yup...Crawford/khan is a joke of a ppv and so would wilder/brezeale.....but see...bob talks of all this app stuff and the ppv model dying yet hes still doing ppvs.....

I agree that those fights stink as ppvs ...they arent true ppvs

I haven't looked into all the specifics and numbers...but I question how feasible its going to be for them to charge you 10 bucks for a fight that could command 80 and would still do very well at the 80 price tag....that's leaving a ton of money on the table....AJ/wilder would do real good numbers on US ppv and its a fight worth paying for....how you gonna leave that money on the table and still be successful?

In fairness, I think Wilders value has definitely increased over the last year with a solid showing PPV wise vs fury and the fight being as good as it ended up being. And they know they have to overpay him to get him to DAZN to guarantee the fight to themselves.

I can't see the downside for Wilder if the terms are simply having a fight against D.B. then the fight vs Joshua next. If they wanna jerk him around with fights against others after the D.B. fight then yeah, he shouldn't bother. Heavyweights can get KTFO any fight they're in, he needs to get that payday this year. He will kill Brezeale if they fight.

Wilder-Breazeale is now PPV; that wasn't the initial plan for this fight, but that's the move. Wilder does the business that he's supposed to, and he rolls into another PPV in the second half of the year.

Joshua, Ortiz2, or Fury (Fury thinking $17.5m and 50% of the take was short to him likely kills that fight).

Tyson Fury is fighting a bum for $4m in June on ESPN+, and if he can't get the Wilder fight, will be fighting another bum on ESPN+ for $4m.

Joshua has the Miller voluntary in June, and then has to fight Pulev next (if not, he'll lose the IBF title) if he doesn't fight Wilder.

                      It's chess not checkers.
your numbers are the reason people laugh at you. First Crawford’s espn minimum is more than 3 million which isn’t even his ppv minimum lol lololol.

Secondly the offer by top rank was 12.5 for wilder. Espn is investing more into boxing, specifically the heavyweight division.

Their is no big 2nd ppv fight on SHO for wilder lol. If he wants fury or Joshua he needs to go to DAZN or espn and he knows that and he is going to do it.

Haymon keeps trying to talk him out of it but he sees how badly under paid he’s been with pbc. Fury is making 4-5 million to fight a bum. Wilder for half that for a much more risky fight vs Ortiz.

Wilder and Jermall will be signed to DAZN before the end of March. Any unbiased observer can see that and would agree leaving pbc is the right move for them.
