And against a fighter that Joshua beat every second of every round of the fight.
Plus wilder is not a ppv attraction ...I doubt the fight even makes 175k but good luck to him but it’s not gonnA look good with the numbers.
Joshua and miller are both unbeaten and is English one is american...what’s the attraction of wilder vs breazeale lol
Eye test makes it pretty clear that Jarell Miller is worse than Dominic Breazeale.

Wilder-Fury drew 325k (plus whatever Showtime sold directly to folks online); to account for a significant chunk of folks tuning in to watch Fury is asinine.

On May 18th, the world win tune in to see Deontay Wilder, the heavyweight champion of the world, make 8th defense of his world title and again show the world why the other champion is running scared.

    It's the Deontay Wilder Show.

They would still have to guarantee a part of this purse as it’s a big financial loser but now that Wilder announced he’s leaving the PBC for DAZN it’s a moot point

Didn't ESPN just offer him $12.5 million to fight Breazeale? Didn't Hearn just offer him $15 million to fight Breazeale?

You sure he doesn't bring in any money?

I don't pay attention to ticket sales so I'll have to take your word on that, but he must bring in money if so many people want to pay him so much money.

He's taking a meeting with John Skipper, after which the full camp will discuss what's on offer after rejecting the initial offer basically immediately.

You add that there's already a seeming effort to softball Breazeale/Joshua/Joshua2/Whyte as the package, with Wilder still rejecting a long-term deal, and it's hilarious to see you turn a single sit-down into contracts being done, lol.

Wilder-Fury sold 14500 tickets in LA (with 17000+ in the building on fight night), Wilder-Ortiz had something like 15000 people in Barclays Center (unsure of how many were sold, but r.o.t. comp estimates would have you expect 13000+ tickets sold).

Wilder-Joshua is a massive event and everyone knows it, Wilder-Fury 2 was big enough that the guarantee on the fight was for Wilder/Fury to split $35m.

How can that be possible if he doesn't bring in any money and doesn't sell any tickets?

You've been overinflating Wilder's worth on here for ages. You're crazy enough to think the chump is worth 50/50. Wilder brings in no money nor sells tickets. The reason the AJ fight hasn't happened yet is due to Wilder being an absolute coward who refuses to fight unless he gets an extortionate amount of money. Wilder and his fans like you have supported his cowardice and over pricing himself. But now you want to talk about Haymon overpaying the idiot because Wilder and he are overinflating his worth?

                      Priceless.

joshua wouldn't take a 50 million dollar guarantee with an upside. either he's taking more than 50 50, or wilder really does bring a lot to the table, because 50 million would be a huge payday for any HW and the biggest guarantee ever for a fighter not named floyd or manny.

it's pretty simple, really. you put a fight in las vegas and you draw from an international as well as domestic american audience native to the biggest economy in the world. really, just look at the GDP, and you have you answer. hearn has alluded to this many times, saying, "the fight is bigger in america, but we want it in the UK." problem is that he's now fighting for less money and still in america, and you can see that the idea was to push off the wilder fight from '18 and into the second half of '19 at the earliest.
