You're ignoring the fact that it was very early in canelo's career. Golovkin could as easily have a win over a much better canelo if not for boxing politics and pacquiao has also lost to horn and been ko'd by marquez in the decade.

42 fights can't be very early in anybody's career, most professionals don't get to fight 40 times in their whole careers

Wow...what an analysis...dismisses Loma because of a loss, elevates Ward because of a robbery and controversial stoppage, dismissed Wlad because of a loss. If you are to dismiss Loma, you should do it because he hasn't fought throughout the whole or most of the decade, which must be your criteria. And why no criteria mentioned? "Mediocre".

Floyd should have been the fighter of the previous decade.

He will win it this time, though. The only one I can see passing him is Canelo if he beats Jacobs then conclusively beats Golovkin in a third fight...but even then Floyd beat him this decade so that has to factor in.

Aside from resumes there's no question he was the finest boxing technician of this 10-year era.

Lomachenko is the BEST. But he doesn't have enough to be the favorite. As in, he should be the choice, but there's room to make case for a lesser fighter w/ more fights and more marquee events.

Fury could have done it, but for the lay-off. If he hadn't been robbed against Wilder, him beating AJ this year could have put him over the top.

It should be Mayweather, without question even though he only fought 1/2 the decade

He has more W over future HOFers this decade then anyone on the list 4
The rest either were either a current Champ or multi division Champ with the exception of Berto which who was a former World Champ.
He was involved in the 3 biggest fights this decade , 1 which the biggest fight since who knows when

Compare that to Mayweather who only win against a HOf who was older the him was Moseley by 5-6 years , When Canelo fought him he was almost 20 years younger.

How many of his wins shouldn’t have been wins If Canelo was judged like every other fighter and not receive extra rounds every fight by every judge , He’d have lost 4 times (Mayweather,Lara,Golovkin (2x). ) this decade and a very good chance of probably at least 1 maybe even 2 draws ( Cotto /Trout )
Canelo would have lost everytime he faced the #1 guy at 147-160 making his career be looked at much differently then it is. Like how could a FOD Lose everytime they fought the best. If he was judged like every other fighter and you excluded those names whats his best Win maybe Khan who dragged up 2 weight classes

Ward has the best case after Mayweather W’s over A couple Future HOFers and World Champs among all the fighters listed took the biggest risk by moving up in weight and beating Kov twice .

wrong. manny accomplished more (first 7 weight world titlist and first 4 weight lineal titlist), better resume, more exciting, ended decade much stronger while floyd was still hiding in "retirement". give me a break hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Mayweather was the best boxer to grace a ring in that era. And he never lost.

My vote goes to Andre Ward. Money May had successfully manipulated all of the opponents he faced in this decade. He largely cherrypicked him. That's the Mayweather M.O. and style.

That Super Six tournament for my money gives Andre Ward the edge and that's not counting the two victories he had over the "Krusher" Sergey Kovalev either.

However the Boxing Writers Association of America probably give it to Money May as a consolation prize since he never won a fighter of the decade award in his career.
