Meanwhile, we got Lomachenko tearing the divisions a new *******, making p4p fighters quit. We got Usyk unifying the most stacked division in boxing, and beating the prime fighters in their backyard.

Canelo has a good shot too, Andre Ward, but he's too inactive.
Lomachenko beat 1 P4P ranked fighter.

Mayweather beat 4 P4P ranked fighters.

I would have said Canelo but Floyd whitewashed him and the positive test

no way GGG deserves it for beating road sweepers and losing his most relevant fight

Ward if he was more active could have been

Crawford and Loma I don't think deserve it ahead of the others

Mayweather is the obvious choice and maybe the most deserved one too

For Floyd to be a candidate he should have at.least made an effort to hang around d until 2020. Maybe not officially retire. Even if he wasn't fighting after he beat berto. He could pretend he might rematch Nelo and pac, but pull out at last minute
Pacquiao fans would have won that poll if he had any fans left. Half dumped him when Mayweather dominated him without stepping out of first gear, the other half left when he insulted them when he said that **** about gays.

P4P doesn't mean crap when you got Broner in there.

With the exception of Rigondeux and Martinez, Lomachenko were beating prime fighters and champions.
Usyk was beating Prime fighters in Gassiev (P4P) Breidis, a past it but still good Huck, Bellew, past it but still dangerous, Glowacki.
Ward, though contreversial, beat a prime Kovalev, the Super Six, that's better than what Mayweather did.
Canelo even, even if you factor how contreversial it is, and how past prime Golovkin is.

Those are better than what Floyd this decade.

Canelo, GGG, Usyk, Crawford ...all ahead of Floyd and Ward.
Put it this way, Thurman/Loma could be arguably ahead of Floyd.

He also fought once or less in 7 of the 10 years this decade. Not enough activity, and like it or not, the Kovalev wins are viewed as controversial. I think the writer clearly has an agenda when he calls Ward's second victory over Kovalev "a brutal knockout".

I think Mayweather has the best resume despite similar inactivity because he beat Mosley and Cotto before Canelo and then beat Canelo himself and Pacquiao, but his last fight against a professional boxer was in 2015. Half a decade's work won't get it done especially when we learned last decade that the writers put a lot of merit in how you finish the decade.

IMO if Canelo beats Jacobs and Golovkin/Andrade in 2019, he will undoubtedly be named FOTD based off his name and activity in addition to his accomplishments. And that means Mayweather will have clear Ws over the last two FOTDs. So much for not fighting anyone.
Facts. But haters don't like Floyd's attitude so they will find a way to discredit his accomplishments.

"P4P doesn't mean crap" even though you literally just used it as reasoning for why Lomachenko should get it

Mayweather beat Mosley who was P4P #3, Pacquaio who was P4P #2, Canelo who was P4P #9 and Guererro who was P4P #10.

Those are facts if you don't warrant P4P rankings to be valid then don't use it as reasoning for another fighter. Be consistent.

It's hilarious how you cite Marco Huck as "past it but still good" even though he was 2-2 in his last 4 fights and got put on his back by Glowacki yet P4P ranked fighters coming off impressive wins over other P4P ranked fighters such as Mosley and Pacquaio are shot down as shot

Are you even trying to hide your obvious bias and double standard? Because if you are you're failing miserably.
