Let's put an end to this Margarito and plaster nonsense.

Margarito was an overrated fighter. A crappier and lankier form of Jaime Munguia. The real Tijuana fundamentals were like Morales. Just always thought Margarito fought dumb. Munguia a more intelligent Tijuana boxer than Margarito. Seeing how Margarito was protected by Top Rank. Wouldn't be surprised he was cheating while Top Rank acting blind and making money off these stunts.Comment

Stop speaking without doing any research. You're just embarrassing yourself. Let's go back to the court case:
Margarito claims he did not know adulterated pads had been used and that he did not direct, authorize, or ratify the use of such pads. He argues that without a culpable mens rea, he cannot be held liable for violating rule 323 unless the Commission's rules expressly provide for strict liability. Not used. Adulterated. The very definition of the word is to corrupt, debase, or make impure by the addition of a foreign substance. Courts are VERY specific in the language they use. This isn't used pad, this is an altered one and Margacheato did not dispute such a finding.Rule 323 by its terms expressly applies to “contestants” such as Margarito. It states in relevant part: “Contestants shall use soft surgical bandage not over two inches wide, held in place by not more than ten yards of surgeon's adhesive tape for each hand. Not more than twenty yards of bandage may be used to complete the wrappings for each hand.” Margarito does not dispute that the adulterated knuckle pads found in his hand wraps violated rule 323. The plain language of rule 390 allows the Commission to revoke his license for such violation: “Any licensee who violates ․ the rules of the Athletic Commission ․ may have his or her license revoked.”
The lengths you guys go through trying to pretzel the truth are amusing but ultimately boring. You can't win this argument. There's a bloody court record that disagrees with you with statements from the very actors themselves. But you know more than the commission, court, trainer and Margacheato himself, do you?Last edited by Granath; 02-07-2019, 02:01 PM.Comment

You fucks swear this "insert" the size and thickness of a business card would have made a difference in the Cotto fight. The second fight was getting closer before the stoppage, with a shot to shit one eyed Margarito.
Also a lot of you like to make it seem as if Margarito was ever fearsome puncher before the scandal. He was a volume puncher and most of his ko or tko wins were the result of that. BTW you can find traces calcium and sulfur on my bed sheets after Im done shagging some random bitch.Comment

Case law
https://caselaw.findlaw.com/ca-court...l/1541145.html
At the February 10, 2009 hearing, Commission Inspectors Guevara, Dean Lohuis (Lohuis), and Mike Bray (Bray) all testified that they felt the knuckle pads Capetillo initially placed in Margarito's hand wraps before the Mosley fight and that the pads felt harder than allowed by the applicable rules and were confiscated. After feeling one of the confiscated pads at the hearing, Margarito admitted that he felt something hard. Capetillo admitted that the confiscated pads violated the applicable rules, and acknowledged that had they been used, they could have seriously injured Margarito's opponent.Comment

I never said the the pads didn't violate the rules or that Margarito should not have been suspended smart guy. And it fell under the commission's definition of "altered" because it had foreign material, calcium and sulfate not actual formed plaster. I also said Richardson is shady and videos have surfaced that suggest he is a cheater. Also he had a lot of influence on the commision that night to the point of letting him take a pad to his locker room. Again why take it and not seal both pads in front of everyone?...Stop speaking without doing any research. You're just embarrassing yourself. Let's go back to the court case:

Javier Capetillo admitted his attempt for loaded wraps. Margarito has been fighting since he was 15. Richardson been around to know these things, hell, maybe even Nassim is as guilty in his past with things we don't know. I'm not saying "it takes one to know one." But if Richardson had the eye of a hawk, and Capetillo didn't deny his shame, it's pretty safe to assume Margarito was cheating before. Sure wraps always harden with sweat and impact. But to get a crack on wraps means it had to been given a mixture that when hardened and cracks, you see a different break in the wraps than normal post wraps. That's what Cotto's team had shown with the pic. Good ole variances of Plaster of Paris.Comment

Not altered. Adulterated. Let's use the right word. Would you believe the court case addresses much of what you claim too?I never said the the pads didn't violate the rules or that Margarito should not have been suspended smart guy. There was overwhelming evidence that the pads removed from Margarito's hand wraps violated rule 323. The presence of the illegal pads in Margarito's hand wraps was confirmed by multiple eye witnesses, including Lohuis and Bray. Margarito failed to establish a reasonable probability of a more favorable result had he been apprised of Lohuis's attempt to alter Guevara's written report before the February 10, 2009 hearing. You should stop with the insinuations that the evidence was somehow tampered with. There's not an ounce of truth to it. You should also stop with the Richardson "cheater" business. It's a red herring and no one is going to fall for it.Inspector Lohuis's January 27, 2009 report describing the gauze pad confiscated from Margarito's left hand wrap states: “It appeared that some sort of liquid had been applied to this smaller pad, which was a violation of the rules.” The commissioners themselves examined one of the confiscated pads at the hearing. No due process violation occurred.Last edited by Granath; 02-07-2019, 02:35 PM.Comment
