Miller is Matchroom so there’s no risk that the fight ends up on another channel. Eddie has guaranteed AJ for Sky and DAZN customers so if AJ fights fights Wilder it has to be a Matchroom show which is why they can’t just accept $50m.

Miller is clearly not elite level and is being touted by Hearn as some kind of big player across the pond but even Eddie seems unconvinced when trying to sell him. Whyte has a proven chin and can pull out a Hail Mary punch so they’re probably regretting building him as the opponent.

They probably did at one time. But not any more, after Wilder's terrible showing against Fury, who was clearly a long way off his best.

He had two fights with matchroom in November and December of 2016. In that time aj fought breazle and molina which were contractual obligations as haymon had options on aj. You can’t blame Hearn for that. After he fought klitchko which made him into the star he is today, one again you can’t blame Hearn for that in fact we all should be applauding him. After that he had the ibf mandatory which we knew about before the klitchko fight. By then Ortiz left so given the fights he had it’s unfair to say he was “kept away” he just had bigger fish to fry. If Ortiz never tested negative and lost to wilder he would’ve had his shot instead it was povetkin.

When Miller gets destroyed by AJ, he will start fighting guys like Ortiz, Whyte..That will be good fights.

one more thing, DAZN will cover the cost of AJ’s money if he fight in USA but in U.K. he relies on sky ppv and nobody will buy a 4am fight vs Miller and a U.K. ppv/stadium might be disappointing so Miller is a nice low risk cash grab that also ticks the ‘he fights in USA’ box.

People need to stop this wilder talk

He doesn’t want to fight aj

He refused to sign the contract

Refuses to fight for double his pay day he got Vs fury

He even got. 40 percent split offer but refuses as he fears Joshua and will never fight him

He needed a gift to keep his belt against fury and knows Joshua would send him to sleep

Miller is a small fight for Joshua, he is no threat at all, his biggest wins are Washington and Duhaupas. He is chubby, with no real power. Better make one small fight in USA for Americans, that they stop complaining Joshua doesn`t wanna fight in America.

Fury is the biggest fight for Joshua. Wilder is second biggest possible fight right now.

And Cotto brought the WBC MW belt to his fight with Canelo.

Ortiz brings nothing but a high reputation with a small clique of hard core fans who wouldn't have been paying to see the fight if it had happened.

Hearn can't tell either Usyk or AJ to do anything. All he can do is give them options and make the fights they tell him they want. Like Dillian Whyte said ... Eddie works for them, not the other way round.
I give up defending Ortiz. His reputation was high, mostly because Hearn hyped him up, just like he does Joshua! The only point i'm making is MatchRoom lost Ortiz because of Joshua. They're risking Whyte because of Joshua! I would hope they wouldn't make the same mistakes with Miller and Usyk! It's called MatchRoom, not Joshua!

Joshua will be 9 months between fights with no injuries and in his prime. That's not good but that's just the way the game is these days and why so few fighters end up being special. They aren't active enough. Miller isn't a terrible opponent though but it's not terribly exciting either.
