They do?? He had 43 seconds to land as many shots as he wanted whilst Wilder was in a Cuban Whirlwind in the 7th round and able to move. He landed countless times but Birdlegs stayed on his feetComment

Hammer's best wins are Price, Kevin Johnson & Teper. He is the WBO #13 (Those WBO rankings are full of untested fighters). Ortiz should have little trouble with Hammer but it's a decent name to add to his resume. A decent top 30 HW who is on the same level as Kauffman. It is better than him sitting staying inactive. Cojan, Kauffman & now Hammer are good stay busy fights & if a regional trinket is on the line maybe he can move up in all the bodies. I was hoping a fight with Kabayel would happen as Kabayal is in the top 10 in a few of the bodies.Comment

With the exception of Wilder, every top heavyweight has called this dude out and then ducked him. I think the only other notable heavyweight that would fight him is Fury.
Miller- duck duck goose
Whyte- duck duck goose
Joyce- duck duck goose
Aj- duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck
Joyce disappointed me. Thought maybe he would be a real one. He said he'd fight Ortiz next then went radio silent. Word is he's fighting bermane f---ing stiverne next who hasn't fought since 2017 if I'm not mistaken.
Clown ass heavyweights...Comment

No disrespect to you or your mum but I don't think many would consider that a major coup if they beat you, me (or your mum).
I agree that Ortiz doesn't have alot of big names on his resume and I would also add that he doesn't have a huge following to add financial incentive to face him. He did beat up on Bryant Jennings and he did fight a life and death bout with Wilder. Jennings was competitive with Klitschko and Wilder was good enough to fight to a draw (according to judges) against the guy who dethroned Klitschko. If you fight Ortiz and you want to increase your standing you want to do it at least as impressive as Wilder
So, with all that being said, I imagine not many people are trying to face him. They would rather face a Hughie Fury, Lucas Browne or a Carlos Negron and wait their chance. I don't necessarily blame them for it either; Ortiz brings risk without a great amount of reward.Comment

100% agree. There are easier ways to consolidate in the top 10 than Ortiz. And you can earn more. I don't think it constitutes a duck when it just makes no sense to fight him.No disrespect to you or your mum but I don't think many would consider that a major coup if they beat you, me (or your mum).

You could level that at the guys ranked above him, if he had earned another shot. Which he hasn't.
Basically, this is what happens to a guy when his career is on the way down. So fighting for paydays is fine by me. He'll need a huge slice of luck to do anything else.Comment
