I like Mikey but none of the fighters he mentioned will prepare him for what he’s about to face

I saw few posts here that agree with. Mikey does get credit just by being on the P4P list now. Every fighter isn’t recognized like that. And he has some very nice wins on his resume. I just think a win against Spence and maybe another win say like Danny Garcia or Porter or Thurman, he moves near the top of the P4P list in everyone’s minds. I didn’t mention Crawford, because I think Bud beats him with his quickness, agility, and power, LOL!!!Comment

Broner is a NAME.. that doesn't translate to substance. Just because a fighter has a media push doesn't mean they're the goods. They just have a good promotion ok. You would've been all over Jeff Lacy back in the day lolOnly notable win on Mikey's resume is Broner, problem is Broner has pretty much lost every step up fight he's had. He's basically Zab Judah 2.0
Mikey has simply past up too many great fights in his prime to face less than notable opposition from Gamboa, Linares, Loma, Pacquiao and Crawford.Comment

Hmmm... Then I guess the real difference is that they are actually warriors, and you’re a little sissy talking tough behind a keyboard. I get it now. This is boxing. Fighters and fans always say they want to kill someone or put them in a coma. Standard practice. Most fighters are actively trying to kill each other.
Even Nigel Benn said better him than me when he murdered McCllelan. Wilder has openly said he wants to kill someone in the ring.Comment

You could break down any fighters record the way you did and criticise them, why don't you just appreciate him and his incredible achievements? It's so easy to sit back and talk that s***, but he is a legit 4 division champion and he's taking on the boogeyman of the welterweight division. Mikey is a blown up lightweight let's not kid ourselves. But he's taking on the biggest and toughest fight out there and I for one, respect that.Mikey Garcia’s competition on his quest to becoming a four division champion:
- 35 year old Orlando Salido, already had 11 losses. Most recently from Yuriorkis Gamboa
- 30 year old Roman Martínez, already lost to Ricky Burns. Got KO’d (and retired) by Lomachenko four fights later
- 34 year old Dejan Zlatican, won a vacant belt and had no title defenses. Got KO’d by Roberto Ramirez two fights later
- 29 year old Sergey Lipinets, won a vacant belt and had no title defenses. Got outboxed by Erick Bone his next fight but got saved by the judges
- 26 year old Robert Easter Jr, who was outboxed by Javier Fortuna earlier in the year but got saved by the judges. He also arguably lost against Richard Commey as well.
Mikey Garcia is one of the worst four division champions in boxing history, he has faced ZERO elite opponents and has cherry picked paper champions to become one. Back in his Top Rank days, He was lined up to fight Manny Pacquiao, Terence Crawford and Vasyl Lomachenko but he ducked them all to fight bums!Comment

Dude Marvin to this day still doesn't think he got the respect he deserved. I mean hell one of the documentaries on him goes really deep into that and why he was that way. Its kind of sad that he couldn't enjoy his success while it was happening because he was always in his own head.Comment

Mikey Garcia vs Errol Spence
First and foremost Mikey Garcia is real good fighter and is an elite fighter, specially being in the top 10 p4p, he knows all of this but there are certain people out there who dis- credit him. I hope he proves everyone wrong and in case he does not win he will still be an elite fighter. Regardless of who he's gone up against he's won title after title from champions who are considered elite but being that he beat them all of a sudden world champions that he fought weren't in his league and dis-credit him in doing what he did, was knocking them out. When a fighter is climbing the latter it doesn't matter who you face you're in the sport to win regardless who you face.Comment

It's probably what made him a top 3 ATG Middleweight. I've read hilarious interviews with him where he couldn't believe his opponents had the audacity to think they could beat him. Headcase? Probably. It did take him years to even get a shot at the title, though.Dude Marvin to this day still doesn't think he got the respect he deserved.
