The truth is none of y'all will give credit to Mexican fighters. It doesn't matter who they beat. If a Mexican fighter wins everyone says that fighter wasn't very good or past theirprime. Mikey Garcia has more than proven himself just like Canelo Alvarez has proven himself. Accept it Mexican fighters are good and Mikey Garcia and Canelo Alvarez are great fighters

Mikey Garcia’s competition on his quest to becoming a four division champion:
- 35 year old Orlando Salido, already had 11 losses. Most recently from Yuriorkis Gamboa
- 30 year old Roman Martínez, already lost to Ricky Burns. Got KO’d (and retired) by Lomachenko four fights later
- 34 year old Dejan Zlatican, won a vacant belt and had no title defenses. Got KO’d by Roberto Ramirez two fights later
- 29 year old Sergey Lipinets, won a vacant belt and had no title defenses. Got outboxed by Erick Bone his next fight but got saved by the judges
- 26 year old Robert Easter Jr, who was outboxed by Javier Fortuna earlier in the year but got saved by the judges. He also arguably lost against Richard Commey as well.
Mikey Garcia is one of the worst four division champions in boxing history, he has faced ZERO elite opponents and has cherry picked paper champions to become one. Back in his Top Rank days, He was lined up to fight Manny Pacquiao, Terence Crawford and Vasyl Lomachenko but he ducked them all to fight bums!
Beat Prograis or Josh Taylor at 140 and I will give you plenty of credit. You can even fight Loma at 135. Cashing out vs Spence with a built in excuse for your loss doesn't impress me.
Unfortunately Mikey, Nothing will satiate true haters like these !
He gets credit already though? He’s in every credible p4p list that I’ve seen and he’s in the top 5 in most of those, and that’s after he wasn’t fighting for a long time. Getting splattered by a much bigger fighter isn’t going to win him any respect, at least not from me, not when there’s viable opposition in his natural weight class.

Don't forget he also stopped fighting for 2.5 years rather than just face Gamboa. He also ducked Linares. This guy has ducked every dangerous opponent. Every time.
Man, I hope Spence Adonis Stevens him.

“You know, when I fought Adrien Broner, a lot of people said Adrien Broner was just too big, too strong and too fast for me,” Garcia said
I think Mikey is a good fighter but this comment is false!! I don't remember A LOT of people saying that in fact most predicted you would win against Broner! I think he is looking for bulletin board material to motivate himself. With that said I expect him to give Spence some trouble early on but he will get figured out and possibly stopped late.
I like Mikey, but I agree with EVERYTHING you all have said. I dont think he stands a chance vs Spence, but if he pulls it off AND continues to fight good, ranked fighters and beat them, he can become a superstar.
And if, and thats a big IF, he manges to beat Spence, Spence will go down in history as ___________ (fill in the blank)
