Lets be real, Oscar was always going to get the benefit of doubt with the judges scoring when he fought Floyd. I was rooting for Oscar that fight and bet on him but there is no way Oscar won that fight let alone get a split decision. Same way Canelo got it from one of the judges.

I just said that I felt he lost a 116-112 fight to Mayweather...

But I also thought he did pretty good in that fight, he did better than most Floyd opponents. His defense was good, he made Floyd miss alot, he'd pick his shots well, countered nicely at times etc. He just didn't do enough to win the fight and Floyd took over the 2nd half

What bothers me about guys like Oscar and Mosely is that they go out and claim that Floyd waited till they got old to fight them, that they weren't in their prime and they would have beaten Floyd in their prime and fans eat it up. Claim that Floyd avoided fighters but Oscar is ok with Canelo not fighting some of the 154 champs because of no money.

And they justify it by saying Floyd was too much risk for the reward while they jerk off Oscar for fighting anyone despite. "The Golden Boy's" legacy as the "people's champ" is a joke. The fans fans booed Oscar the cowardly Mexican while he ran from Trinidad like a *****.

I think Mayweather is one of the best boxers ever, that said. People say he has a great resume but looking at it now. Most fighters were out of there prime or small. Only guy he impressed me with was Corrales. He was a monster in his prime. Corrales was also THE ONLY UNDEFEATED FIGHTER HE EVER MET and that was in 2001. Says something.

He chose a bigger name at the time in Hopkins as well just like Floyd chose to buy out his contract to setup up a big payday against Oscar instead of fighting Margarito, he fought Baldomir and Judah who had all the belts besides the WBO at that time. Margarito beat Clottey to call out Floyd only to lose his next fight to Williams.

I get all that. I was never one to say that Mayweather didn't fight the best of his era or criticize his resume. However, he did duck Amir Khan and that is something that he can't take back. Moreover, it was a fight that boxing fans had demanded to see but yet he chose to fight Marcos Maidana instead and that's a fact.
