He was robbed in one of the Mosley fights, should have won the Trinidad fight, and IMO robbed vs. Floyd in a close fight. If a past-prime DLH loses a close split decision to a prime Mayweather--then Floyd must really be overrated!

Add in Oscar really did beat Whitaker and you have Oscar's controversial points in his career down pretty well.

Robbed once vs Mosley on Steroids
Beat Floyd, but it was close, no robbery
          Beat Trinidad
Beat a Roided Vargas as well
Beat a defensive wizard but not offensive enough Whitaker
Hopkins too big for him and lost

          Overall a solid ATG

Oscar De La Hoya was a good fighter but not a great fighter. He won titles in six different weight divisions with many notable names on his resume. Overall, he was a Hall of fame fighter but not an all-time great fighter.

Mexican here, I didn't think he landed enough and spent the entire fight in love with his punch avoiding slickness.

He just didn't land shiiit the entire fight. Nothing honestly. Defensively he was awesome, hard to tag, but Oscar was catching him as he was quick too.

Whitaker would get tagged all round, but would have a moment of slickness and would do a dance and clown around, trying to win the crowd and judges.

Shiiit didn't work on me. He lost and the judges thought so too.

Take that slick shiiit out of here.

Yes, all good points. Oscar was taking on one tough opponent after another. Never ducked an opponent. A prime Floyd chose to "retire" rather than give Oscar a rematch.

Jay Razor should take notes then. You're able to at least be objective and give your honest take.

Jay Gayzor just thinks the black guy won all the time. He thinks ***ing Ike beat Oscar too for ***s sake lol

What stood out the most about Oscar De La Hoy's legacy was his willingness to take on risks inside the ring. That's why he has six losses on his record because he challenged the best fighters of his era. He never ducked any fighter that us boxing fans demanded to see. He gets mad respect for that.
