Does Jermall Charlo have enough tools to beat Golovkin?

What is going on with the World Boxing Council? Is this fight going to happen?

GGG is several levels above Korobov. Let's not forget, the general consensus is that he actually beat Canelo twice, people seem to have forgotten that. Either way you look at it, it was extremely close between top fighters.

Charlo has never shown he can compete at that level, not even close to it.

I know styles make fights but there's levels and right now there's a gulf in class between GGG and Charlo. Styles won't make up for that.

He fought a southpaw who was a counterpuncher, not Golovkin.

He fought a low level inactive rusty fighter and looked like **** and should have lost. I dont care what style he has theres levels to boxing. And If anything his style is great for golovkin, not much power at 160 and easy to hit.

I think he certainly causes problems but I don't think he has the defensive capabilities and ring IQ to beat a Golovkin. His lack of awareness and reflexes vs Korobov was concerning for a top level fighter.

My thinking hasn't changed, I'd still pick Golovkin but Charlo is a big puncher with quick hands, I would not count him out completely.
As has been said Golovkin and Korobov could not be much different from each other.

I'm not even picking Charlo to beat Golovkin.... But you sure are ready to cry at the drop of a hat....

I think it will be extremely competitive and FOTY candidate. Charlo isn't nearly as effectivenes against southpaws with his jab which throws things off for him. He doesn't quite manage the distance as well as he does against an orthodox fighter.

But his chin is great and he's extremely strong where he will be able to back GGG up in spots. One positive for Charlo in this match up is that GGG doesn't really counter punch like a Trout or Korobov. He will also be coming right the Charlo which suits his style.

Think it is fair to make GGG a slight favorite but the fight could go either way.

He doesn't have the tools but he may not need them ggg took a lot of physical and mental damage in the 2nd fight we don't know what kind of fighter ggg is without his 0 he could turn like kovalev and chocolatito after they took losses without his belts and undefeated record to protect he might not be willing to take the necessary punches to win.
