He obviously does not have the tools to beat GGG. He just barely beat a boxer who is about a tenth as good as GGG. Jermall needs to beat someone like BJS, Brant or Andrade and then GGG might fight him. Right now there is no reason for GGG to fight him after his poor showing in his last fight. Jermall has never defeated a top middleweight.

People basing their opinions on the Korobov fight are showing their low ring IQ.

Korobov is a mover southpaw with good defensive footwork and stellar upper body movement. Golovkin is a sluggish orthodox fighter with slow hands and almost nonexistent head movement, horrible defense and completely locked at the waist. The two fighters couldn't be more different.

He didn't take any more physical damage than Canelo did and Canelo did and Canelo looked great against Fielding. As for mental damage there is none. GGG thought he won. He is angry now and will come back better with something to prove. He has the heart of a fighting champion and the loss of his O on paper will only make him better with something to prove. He will crush Jermall if he fights him.

Yes Korobov must be better because he is ranked number 45th in the world and has been knocked out and KOed less than half his opponents while GGG is ranked 2nd in the world and has never been knocked down and was a world champion for 8 years with 20 successful title defenses and he won 18 of those by KO. You turning unranked Korobov into a superior fighter than GGG is beyond belief. GGG is vastly superior to Korobov. GGG has the best jab in boxing and is the hardest punching middleweight in boxing. He has a great amateur record and he is an excellent boxer as well as a great puncher.

              Let's find out a.s.a.p.:

GGG vs. Charlo WBC mandated title eliminator

Winner get's to face The Middleweight Kingpin

WBC should send that fight to a purse bid already.

GGG is several levels above Korobov. Let's not forget, the general consensus is that he actually beat Canelo twice, people seem to have forgotten that. Either way you look at it, it was extremely close between top fighters.

Charlo has never shown he can compete at that level, not even close to it.

I know styles make fights but there's levels and right now there's a gulf in class between GGG and Charlo. Styles won't make up for that.

that is the fan consensus, which means nothing

Golovkin has shown that he is on-par with Jacobs, but sub-par with Canelo..... certainly in terms of skill, Canelo is a much more well-rounded fighter

I do not believe that there is a huge gulf in class between Golovkin and Charlo..... Korobov was a difficult fight to take on extremely short notice..... and styles make fights, period

we have no idea how Golovkin would have looked against Korobov on short notice..... Golovkin was unwilling to fight Derevyanchenko, despite having a full camp, and despite Derevyanchenko being orthodox and straight up and down

I would slightly favour Golovkin because of experience

But his chin is great and he's extremely strong where he will be able to back GGG up in spots. One positive for Charlo in this match up is that GGG doesn't really counter punch like a Trout or Korobov. He will also be coming right the Charlo which suits his style.

Think it is fair to make GGG a slight favorite but the fight could go either way.

You said nothing negative about Korobov and nothing positive about Golovkin which is very obviously a transparent spin. If you want to exhibit something other than a low IQ, use the pro/con angle of each fighter and how the match ups would differ. Try again.
