Does Jermall Charlo have enough tools to beat Golovkin?

Lol naw he doesnt. I got interested after the Williams fight but he’s kinda regressed. Maybe it’s due to lack of acitivity and competition but he hasnt improved at all since that fight and it was damn near two years ago.
GG would kill himComment

I think it will be extremely competitive and FOTY candidate. Charlo isn't nearly as effectivenes against southpaws with his jab which throws things off for him. He doesn't quite manage the distance as well as he does against an orthodox fighter.
But his chin is great and he's extremely strong where he will be able to back GGG up in spots. One positive for Charlo in this match up is that GGG doesn't really counter punch like a Trout or Korobov. He will also be coming right the Charlo which suits his style.
Think it is fair to make GGG a slight favorite but the fight could go either way.
GGG won't fight charlo head first. He'd start using his jab and land easily. He outboxed jacobs and had him on the backfoot. Jacobs has shown me he's a much better boxer than charlo.Comment

Disagree about ggg's defense. He didn't get hit much in both canelo fights and against jacobs he didn't get hit much either.People basing their opinions on the Korobov fight are showing their low ring IQ.
Korobov is a mover southpaw with good defensive footwork and stellar upper body movement. Golovkin is a sluggish orthodox fighter with slow hands and almost nonexistent head movement, horrible defense and completely locked at the waist. The two fighters couldn't be more different.Comment

They'll go to great lengths to make charlo look good.Yes Korobov must be better because he is ranked number 45th in the world and has been knocked out and KOed less than half his opponents while GGG is ranked 2nd in the world and has never been knocked down and was a world champion for 8 years with 20 successful title defenses and he won 18 of those by KO. You turning unranked Korobov into a superior fighter than GGG is beyond belief. GGG is vastly superior to Korobov. GGG has the best jab in boxing and is the hardest punching middleweight in boxing. He has a great amateur record and he is an excellent boxer as well as a great puncher.Comment

GGG will certainly land, but so will Charlo. And Charlo is MUCH more comfortable in exchanges and in close quarters than Jacobs. Again, GGG will rightfully be the favorite, but this fight will be competitive. BJS and Canelo are much tougher match up problems for Charlo than GGG.Comment

I wasn't impressed with Jermall's last fight. No versatility or plan B. He was kinda stiff. I'm not interested in this fight.Comment
