Speaking of Gennadys best win...over Jacobs... it could legitimately be contended Gennady LOST that fight even with a K/D.

To help you (MMA or illiterate ESPN boxing fan) understand rankings heres a freebie. Canelo isnt even an A fighter. Hes B+, but he's definitively better than Gennady. Canelo lost to Floyd (A level fighter) and it could be argued Canelo lost to Lara and Gennady in their first fight. So Canelos ceiling could maybe reach A-, but he currently sits around B+ as he is highly ineffective against moving fighters.

Gennady is a B guy. He has - historically - one of the worst boxing resumes in recent memory...its historically bad and it's bad because of HIS CHOICES. He passed up chances for great legacy fights and either took the money fight or the safe route (i.e., Vanes or Lemieux).

    Other relevant boxers:

    Loma B/B+
    Wilder C+
    Thurman B-/B
Usyk B+ (move to A- with some noise at HW)
    Crawford B/B+
Spence B- (his lone good fight against a broken and poorly conditioned Kell was 4-4 after 8..Charlo treatment happens when Spence finally starts fighting guys his own size or guys who are full-time boxers)
I like your letter grades a lot. I agree.

We don't have any A or A+ (GREAT) boxers right now. Some definitely have the potential, however. Let's see how they do going forward.

      Nice appraisal.

Damn, here comes another ****** GGG hater to try to make others hate him just a much and tell us how lousy he is. When did he fight Andy Lee, genius?????? He has a great resume. He has 20 successful title defenses and won 18 of those by KO. Most of the 20 guys he defended his title against were rated among the 10 best in the world when he fought them. Only after he knocks them out do his haters change them into bums. The majority thinks he beat Canelo twice and Canelo is a great fighter. Some champions flat refused to fight him like Saunders, Cotto and Martinez. GGG will go to the hall of fame on the first ballot and all your hate won't change that.

Since Gennady didn't turn pro at 15 his resume is weak.

Canelo in the second fight is the only boxer to give him a battering.
Canelo beat him by a razor thin split decision by 1 point in Canelo loving Vegas on a show put on by Canelo's promoter. Had the fight happened in London or Berlin with fair judges GGG would have won. If GGG got battered then so did Canelo. GGG landed more punches by neutral count as usual.

golovkin is a good fighter...hes not great...hes not all time....hes just a good fighter.....once the C level bums like curtis stevens disappeared things just didnt look the same
