As good as Mares has been in his career he's not a 130lb fighter at this point hell he barely was 126lb as is so for you to think that he's going to be competitive with Davis I say absolutely not! Davis is going to stalk him and beat him down slowly and get him out of there in 8 rounds or less! Davis is a huge 130 and he'll be a welterweight come fight night just watch what happens to Mares!

It'll be Jhonny Gonzalez all over again for Mares unless he comes with a clever game plan to offset Davis's offense.

You might be right, but I wonder about the age 30+ fighters who try to starve themselves for fights! Mares might feel better when he's allowed to eat! He definitely is the more experienced fighter, so who knows? I think Tank is disadvantaged by trying to make 130! Too much weight loss is never good, i.e. Roberto Duran!

Like many others I see Davis winning by stoppage. Who knows how well conditioned Tank will be but Mares just isn't naturally big enough to handle that early and mid round firepower to test it. Mares will be game, he always is, but he's on the bad side of alot of the circumstances pertaining to this matchup (smaller, older, coming off an "L", etc)...

I don't think 135 has as much to offer Tank as does 140! PBC has plenty of good fighters @ 140, and I think Mikey goes back to 140 after Spence! I think Tank will be @ 140 by 2020!

Not disbelieving you one bit.

I am just from the school of "my story , your story " and then the truth. Something even more important in boxing where agendas abound.

Until we get to hear Gary's side, i will hold judgement.
