If you cant see his skill then you an idiot trying to downgrade him to take away credit from Wilder.

There's a reason other HW's pretend he doesnt exist. A southpaw with one shot KO power lol. Not a lot of HW's want smoke with king kong

What does it mean "Really that good?"

What are you comparing here? People have to evaluate performance not simply wins and losses. Ortiz almost beat Wilder, thats pretty damn good. Hes smart, has elite level skills with fading physical ability due to age. Probably becoming more of a gate keeper at this point but always a live dog. Whyte Ortiz would be a great fight actually. I think both guys are excellent and had a steller performance against one of the top dogs.

With only one loss I just don't see how he can remotely be a gatekeeper. A gatekeeper has several losses on their record. He is favored to beat all of the top ranked contenders that's why he is being avoided.

I think Ortiz and Whyte are probably 4 and 5 in the Heavyweight division. You have to give Whyte number 4 because of his resume but I think him and Ortiz could go either way.

I agree. I said "becoming" because father time is catching him from behind as he, like all of us is losing a step. he is at a point where at any time he will become old, heavyweights get a few more years, but it happens to the best of them. But I think he is a fantastic fighter.

Yeah, I hear ya. I get your point bro. Really no one knows for sure how old he is anyhow. He could be as young as 39 or as old as 50. We will never know.

                  Re

His last couple of opponents thought he was getting old, and thought they were gonna be a tough guy .

They get hit, either shake the head "no", or sign language with the gloves, "bring it on" or "so what". When Ortiz sees this, he goes, okay, here's some MORE punches that dont hurt !

The one guy got knocked down, and was stumbling around the ring, and the other got decked 2-3 times ! So he very much still has it, but guys feel like it's not worth the risk!

he would put Shyte and AJ in bodybags. that's all you need to know. Shyte was offered a direct shot at WBC title if he got past Ortiz and turned it down like a hoe so all this talk that the Cuban brings nothing to the table is nonsense. and the way AJ was getting lit up by Povetkin is all i needed to see to know Ortiz flatlines that juiced up weightlifter.

Hes good with his hand but his legs are terrible. Probably because of his age.
