If he wasn't then people would be rushing to fight him but instead Ortiz is being turned down by other contenders because he is clearly dangerous despite being "OLD"
Is Luis Ortiz really that good?

I have no clue how Usyk would do against ANY HW, let alone a world-class guy like Ortiz.
The structure of the HW division is three elite fighters: Wilder, Fury, Joshua.
Then a second tier of guys who are a level below the elites but pretty good fighters: Whyte, Povetkin, Miller, Ortiz, Pulev, Kownacki, Parker, Breazeale, Chisora, etc. These guys could beat any of the other second tiers on any given night but would probably never beat any of the Big Three..Comment

You got to play your card right in boxing! Can’t rush thing! Ortiz will become a bum in 2019 once Joshua or Whyte or even Joe Joyce sparks him out!Comment

There's list of guys in his own WBC rankings that keep calling him out so not sure who's turning him down ? The latest one is Takam now. I think if you look at his past history you will find no one has avoided him .Comment

He's good but his conditioning isn't the best , otherwise he maybe knocks out Wilder
He's a much better boxer than Gillian shyte etc
He's also not a really big guy, he's beefed up for heavyweight but isn't as naturally big as most of the top 10
He's skilful and very smart and has decent reach but his conditioning should be betterComment

Reality is that he doesn’t make much money for most fights so only so he really isn’t worth the risk? Why face Ortiz when you could earn more facing someone else? Much more most of the time.
If he had learned English himself he would have made himself more marketable and made millions more and better fights. That coupled with him failing to perform when matchroom hired him resulting again in lack of appetite for any fight vs Joshua (or other uk contenders)Comment
