i like crawford alot...i really do...you dont see me anywhere bashing him....and to a certain degree i agree with you...im not really aruging against what youre saying

im talking more about the guys bashing al and the pbc for their WW fights vs what crawford is/has been doing at WW and what the landscape looks like for him there in the near future

al has already made some good WW fights....and he still has a few he can make in the near future once thurman gets back into the swing of things...he still has thurman, porter, mikey/spence.....and hes already made the list of fights at WW i already listed

some of these pbc/al haters act like he needs to pit danny, porter, thurman, spence and mikey against each other every time out or else hes making crap/bum fights...as if bob would do that if he had als WW roster...no promoter would.....

i dont have a problem with crawford...ill just say his WW near future looks bleak....but ive always maintained that fights with materialize for "stars" of the sport...which crawford certainly is....

theres just no need to bash what haymon has been doing and is doing with his WW fighters...hes put on some good fights already and has plenty he can do going forward......i think youre missing my point and the reality of the situation....im not here to bash crawford...i like him

It is literally impossible to be stripped of a lineal title, retirement means nothing.

      Good point.

Cyberzone and Transnational boxing which seem to be a yard-stick for people had Pacquiao as lineal after beating Bradley. He retired after the fight, but 7 months later was in the ring with Vargas.

He lost his lineal status when he 'retired' between Bradley and Vargas fights. There was no #1 vs #2 fight while he was gone, and he wasn't seen as lineal upon his return, If he was Crawford would now hold that trinket.

Tunney is dead. You can't make a claim when you are dead.

Lennox has made no claim. Lennox's old fat ass can come out of retirement and make a claim if he likes.

Claim is not a difficult concept. Why do y'all act like you struggle to understand it?

Yes, why on earth would you assume drugs would have any bearing on the old title?

You could win drunk off your ass and shout about how drunk as **** you are.

These idiots are just making rules up and twisting their own definitions to suit their agenda. It's pathetic. Their opinion means nothing though, all it does is irritate posters on here.

How many championships do you know about with respect to drugs taken, influences, etc? And I mean with certainty, like "this amount of a substance was taken with this result attributed to it, etc. A certain amount of that is part of boxing, therefore it is an issue onto itself... So maybe fighters who packed the hands in the old days get a pass, maybe if the next guy takes a new drug that turns you into a savage berzerker is told he is cheating.... There is no definite answer to this question because we don't really even know the extent that different performance enhancers were taken.

I don't have a collective belief about this issue, just prefer to sort it out in a case by case basis. Its ****** to deny someone for an antihistimine, or who needed a treatment for an injury, for example. An other issue is when someone is caught. For example, Holyfield obviously juiced, whether he is caught during a training with a drug test, or not. We have legal proof...so what do you do? Case by case...

Well... Now you are understanding the issue from a more realistic perspective. Alcohol can dull and be used in later amounts of a fight to help one endure...SO it has an effect on performance, as do many different ways that performance enhancers do so, all acting differently upon the individual.

What about drugs that help heal an injury and have steroidal components? Do we deny an old athlete the chance to heal? because of archiac drug laws? even when a younger athlete would not even benefit from the drug?

These are some complications that arise with a Pat response to the use of performance enhacers.
