Tunney will always be a Lineal as well as the guy before and after him, you can call him "former" if you like, but no need to do so!

The former, present distinction is actually more formal a distinction than necessary. Two guys are in a room, one is dead the other is alive and fighting tomorrow... First off, one guy can make a claim, the other cannot. So Tunney is resolved, but in walks 45 year old, pudgy Lewis lets say! Well you ask Lewis, are you fighting? lets say he says he is fighting and that he is claiming the lineal again...Well you have two guys claiming the lineal and?

People act as though this somehow destroys the claim? Would you say the same if your rich uncle left a home and several family members claimed the home? would that destroy the title to the home? would the administrator say "fvk it, the title to this home is destroyed because of claims to it." Hardly. You establish the next owner and 'quiet title.' What stops the process of two claimants, establishing the present holder by fighting the best guy?
    Someone who gets it.
