Callum Smith would be a good opponent. I am not thrilled about the matchup because I think the 160 pound division is deep and there are a lot of interesting matchups. Buts meh...it could be worse.

I wouldn't be mad at GGG vs Callum Smith since Smith won the WBSS tournament. But I feel like they are talking about it cuz they hope to cut off Canelo at the pass if he stays at 168 more than they want that fight or will try to get that fight. But respect to them if they are looking to move up finally regardless of what Canelo does. I just don't think thats the case.

While I think the idea of fighting Smith is being made with Canelo in mind I think Ramirez would have been more of a cut off Canelo at the pass kind of move. You take Ramirez out the picture then Canelo doesn't have that all Mexico option for one of those holidays.
