Loeffler discusses possible GGG-Jacobs rematch and possible opponent for GGG

    Spoilers
    • The name they're talking about as a possible opponent for GGG is Callum Smith.
    • Loeffler doesn't see the value in a Jacobs-GGG rematch
    • Speaks a little bit on Andrade but says if he beat Saunders the WBO title win would have a little more pop to it as a possible opponent for GGG.
    • Speaks about what happened when GGG got stripped of the IBF title. Dougie Fischer does most of the talking about it tho.

Callum Smith would be a great fight for GGG. If he beats Smith he would be the man at 168 and not Canelo for beating Fielding, the guy Smith KOed in the first round.

That would be a tough fight. Smith has an 8 inch reach advantage.

Canelo already beat him. If Golovkin beats Smith that makes Canelo the man at 168 too.

You can't have Golovkin rated above Canelo.

I realize you are a troll posing as a real boxing fan but beating Callum Smith would make Golovkin or whoever beats him the top guy at 168lbs.

If Jacobs fights Canelo and beats him that makes him the legit guy at 160lbs. It wouldn’t be Golovkin despite Golovkin’s official win vs. Jacobs.

I wouldn't be mad at GGG vs Callum Smith since Smith won the WBSS tournament. But I feel like they are talking about it cuz they hope to cut off Canelo at the pass if he stays at 168 more than they want that fight or will try to get that fight. But respect to them if they are looking to move up finally regardless of what Canelo does. I just don't think thats the case.

And I also think Jacobs II is a fight they will quickly see the appeal in again if they get left out in May as I fully expect them to get left out. GGG will be 37.5 by the time he'll get a third shot at Canelo BEST CASE & he's gonna have to do something to stand out or he's not getting that fight til he's 38 in May 2020...IF THEN. So if they are legit playing their hand like they are trying to win a Canelo III fight its gonna take some bold moves &/or luck to get there til he's so old it might not even be close to as competitive a fight it was the first two times.

Respect to Callum, but I think there are arguments for a few cats at 168 being #1. Fair play to you if you feel like opting out of the WBSS tournament DQ's someone from being #1 now, but I disagree. To me I would STILL need to see a tournament at 168 to be clear on who's #1. What the WBSS tournament did for the 200lb division isn't what happened at the 168lb division. So I think one could logically see #1 a 2-4way tie between Smith, Benavidez, Ramirez & Jose Uzcategui.

If Canelo beats fielding and Golovkin beats Smith, Canelo should be rated above Golovkin based on his win over him.

That’s fair. Now qualms with your assessment/opinion.

Maybe on the P4P list but not at 168lbs. This is idiotic. You beat one of the best if not the best guys in the division and you achieve that status.

You don’t get it because you beat a virtual nobody in the division and because of what you did at a lower division.

LOL! The sad thing is I think you believe this.
