Did Pulev earn a title shot with AJ?

Because for me he didn't. I don't think he looked impressive and I wouldn't pay to watch Pulev vs AJ at all, it's an easy fight for AJ.

Probably an easy fight for Joshua but at the end of the day it was an eliminator and he won, so he earned it.

At least AJ will fight his mandatory, unlike Wilder who has fought 1 in 3 years now. But I guess you can do that when you have 1 belt and the WBC is shady as hell. Wilder is a bum beater and the Fury vs Wilder fight will look as bad as the Pulev vs Fury fight was today

He did better than I expected considering his age and layoff but he stands no chance against Joshua. I don't have any need to see that fight.

He’s well conditioned to go 12 without really blowing at all.

But he’s pretty statuesque. Best case scenario for a neutral is AJ tries to blast him out and Pulev somehow weathers the storm and comes on late when AJ has gassed a bit.

I dunno. They’re heavyweights but I can’t picture how Pulev wins.

Yeah but we have already seen him fight a mandatory. It's boring. Everybody knows what's going to happen in the fight.

It will be at least another 8 months then until we see AJ in a proper fight and it would be 2 easy fights in a row.

It wasn't pretty. As a mater of fact, it was a real ugly fight but at least he did outwork and outhustle the much younger Hughie Fury. However, I don't give the old man much chance against Anthony Joshua though.

It's hard to look good against a spoiler like Hughie but he got the job done. Pulev is a solid fighter but nothing special.
