Was this fight for the mandatory shot? If so, you have your answer.

ranking and resume are different things. you just don't understand boxing if you don't understand that. rankings are about what you've done lately, how you've done on your last fight, and what you can do next. povetkin has a better resume. he is lower ranked!

again, like i asked the other dude, go find me a publication that isn't british that has povetkin ranked ahead of ortiz. i've gone over quite thoroughly why ortiz in 2018 is a more dangerous opponent, but 'll give you the cliff notes because you've literally lost your ability to read since you started letting eddie hearn shag your girlfriend.

povetkins gives up 20 lbs, about 8 inches of reach, 3 inches of height, and punching power. and before wilder fought ortiz he'd hardly even taken big shots. povetkin got dropped 5-6 times by klitschko. he knocked him around the ring. and he got wobbled by david price. a gain, knocked literally across the ring! these physical advantages are all incredibly significant at HW [again, when povetkin eats shots he literally flies around the ring like a CW, and he arguably lost to a CW,] but of course you think povetkin is more dangerous and a better ranked fighter in 2018 becasue he fought anthony joshua.

it is. you think i'm a wilder fanboy. that's laughable. [i don't actually think you believe that, you just say it to save face because you know what you are and how you've behaved here in the last 6 months.]

you are a joshua fanboy. literally an eddie hearn fanboy. al haymonfanboys 2.0. and those guys were incredibly pathetic.

that's well documented reality, not a single poster here would disagree.

You are a Wilder fanboy, it's clear as day.

Yes rankings and resumes are different. Povetkin is better in both. he's lower ranked at this specific moment because he's just coming off a devastating KO loss and Ortiz is coming off a 50-50 but a KO loss.

Povetkin has spent his entire amateur and pro career ahead of Ortiz. But Ortiz is better without actually proving it in the ring

        Hilarious.

yep that's pretty much what they are saying, they want him to fight breazele so they can complain he only fights bums, then when he fights Ortiz, he fought an old 57 year old guy on high blood pressure meds and now their excuse for fury is that hes a washed up crack head. so pretty much if he fights his mandatories or faces the best available outside of AJ he will be criticized. That's what I get....
